The people....you see....in the hospitality industry, my opinion, you have people that don't have higher education that thinks they are God when they are promoted to Captain or head waiter. Sheesh....you know the ego some of these people have thinking that they have make it up the corporate ladder by not having a higher education. Never like the people in the industry. Most of them are pricks!!! I am glad i change lines to IT....much much happier nowadays!! :D

wah like this i better go downstairs and learn their computer systems at this hotel lah.. ;) i think since i like cooking and experimenting, i know i don't want to go into it as a career, because then i will think of it like a job instead of a fun thing lah..so front desk is better option for me. i know what i like when i walk into a hotel - and that kind of service is not provided at all hotels, regardless of the prices they charge!! :eek: plus the benefits of rewarding a "frequent stayer". if i walk into a hilton family hotel (Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Doubletree, etc.) they MUST greet me by my name after i have introduced myself, they MUST give me free breakfast, and other perks depending on the place i'm at. in jamaica we got free munchies and cocktails from 5:30-7:30 in the evening, and free breakfast too. in key west, we got free breakfast and bottles of water and really good chocolates at night. in hawaii we got AWESOME free breakfast and snacks and drinks. seriously - if they did not reward me like this, i would not stay here so much... :D
