need to replace at least 2 tyres on my waja, as can't change just 1. anyway got good (and cheap) brand to recommend? cheapest is sime tyre, but it's crap... noisy and no grip... thinking of michelin xm1 or silverstone kruizer (read some good reviews)... abt rm180 each

can't afford the more exp tyres... :(

any feedback? size is 195/55/R15...

I am using Goodyear Eagle. They are okay to me, rather reliable. I think should be able to get at about RM125-135 each.

Anyway, I heard that the cheapest place to buy tyres in Klang Valley is in Klang itself. Why not try there? Should be able to get something like RM100-110 each.

BTW, I also have a spare tyre around my waist. I don't mind giving it to you, FOC. :D

Goodyear NCT 3 is also very reliable. I think only cost about RM150 each. Dont have to go to Klang to buy. There is a shop in SS3 who sells tyres at similar prices to Klang. But be warned. Dont ever do your wheel alignment in Klang. Those buggers cannot even get their wheel balancing right. They are only interested to sell tyres. Better go else where to do you alignment. The last time I changed my tyres I also went to klang. No doubt the tyres are cheap but I have to go come back and re-install my tyres and rebalance it. All out and my wheels are shaking like mad. My friend also had the same problem when he changed his tyres in Klang.

BTW, I also have a spare tyre too and can also give to you FOC but I guess might not be able to fit into your waja. If you got a Ford Ranger, than maybe might be able to fit.

There is a marker on your tyre which tells you the when you need to change your tyres. But than again, it also depends whether your tyres are wearing out evenly or not.

Same tyres on different cars is also very difficult to say which will wear out first. My brader has the same type of tyres as my father's car. My dad only did less than 30K km already almost botak whereas my brader did 60k+ KM and still got about 30% more to go! My dad only travels around in Sitiawan whereas my brader drives around the whole of malaysia.

Funny.....

I cannot remember the name of the shop but there is only 1 row of shop houses and i think there is a mamak along that row. The shop if not mistaken has the Falken sign board. Opposite is a field or dewan.

there's a recommended depth of the thread that you need to change the tyres when it reaches that depth. can't remember what it is. can probably check at the bridgestone website or some car websites. i think it's when the depth reaches .5 cm or something like that...
