Dey! I just got back online here in Pasir Mas, Ray. (Read the "What Kind of Internet Connection" thread for more details.) I'll only be back in KL next Sunday. By then, I think all lemang will be spoilt. But I'll probably have other goodies, which you are welcome to hantam if you come over to our place in Pandan Indah.

also ray - i suggest you take my brother up on his offer. his wife is an excellent cook! also my wrists are hurting - today i am attempting my very first pulut kuning and rendang. got to say la - going back to primitive times. actually hand grating the coconut now to make kerisik. crazy, ah? hopefully turns out edible. not going for delicious yet - maybe tahun depan will be delicious...

aiyaaaaa siew kim! so mean one - mention all that lovely food...mmmm i'm actually in the US still...and this year i didn't balik for raya.

my rendang actually turned out quite good, thanks. still not as good as my mother's but only first time i made it la. i was quite surprised. but desperation is the mother of invention, no? must make more pedas next time, i think. too mild... these days, if i want anything malaysian, must try and make it myself. i make an OK karipaf, if i do say so myself. :)

but for good nasi dagang, my sis-in-law is the place to go to. yop - when i come home next year suruh yong buat nasi dagang, ya?

thanks for the rending recipe sila. really looking forward to using it. don't have the time right now to give it proper justice. too many xmas functions on and then on sat i'm off on hols. but will definitely give it a whirl next month when i'm back.
