View Full Version : How is traffic back in S'wan during CNY?

I am always curious to know this. I know my last CNY back home, it was pretty bad. I have heard its worst these days.

well, i dunno about traffice on the north-south highway... but traffic in kl is bliss... ah... if only it's like that everyday...

Dino...we have so many traffic lights in Sitiawan nowadays. But the traffic is kinda heavy this morning. Gonna get worse. :(

i had to say i was amazed with the number of traffic lights in sitiawan when i last went home... probably more nowadays...

CNY is the one and only time there is traffic jams in sitiawan la... :D

the weather this year is TERRIBLE!!!!!

I was so tempted using my old motorbike to go around. Then again...better not.

Well, Sugar Ray, I returned to PJ from Sitiawan with my 3rd sis just yesterday (Saturday morning) and the traffic was kind of a breeze, tho'.....unlike today, where the whole of PLUS is forecasted to have hellish kind of traffic NOW....)

Right on, Dino! Even if Sitiawan has been upgraded to Majlis Perbandaran (Municipal Council) status, I still think Sitiawan's kind of small-ish.....just like an ant if we compare even to other towns that are of Majlis Perbandaran status, so even if there's a jam during CNY in Sitiawan, still can't fight out normal day jams in KL/at least PJ lah!

Sitiawan was very jammed during the CNY period. Most cars were outstation cars.

Anyway, came out from Sitiawan to PJ yesterday (Sat) morning 11:30am. Traffic was okay until approaching the Bidor traffic light, jammed for about 20 minutes. Traffic in the PLUS Hihgway was very heavy. Very bad jam approaching Rawang and all the way until Damansara. Took me 4 1/5 hours to reach home, normal drive is 3 hours.

How's the traffic today? Anyone to report? For those still in Sitiawan, good luck to you all.

me took about 2 hours to reach home on new year's eve - started at abt 6:15am... came back on friday, took abt 3 hours....

while in s'wan, went around in my faithful honda cub... can still move after 20+ years... amazing! :cool:

To drive from my house (Lorong Seroja II) to fishboy's house, normally it takes 1 minute only. However, it took me 3-5 minutes to drive there during CNY period. The main road was packed with cars.

So, taking bus no 11 (my 2 reliable legs), it took me only 1-2 minutes.

I dont think the traffic in Sitiawan was very bad. Compared to those days I think nowadays there are hardly any cars. Infact, the road in front of my house is soo clear. At least I know there is less one car coz daBoss did not come back to contribute to the traffic.

For daBoss to go to town, sure got to go past Fulat's house. Maklumlah, 1st house in Kg.Cina mah, kena bagi respect mah.

Went back to Sitiawan on 10th Feb at 3.00am. Reached Sitiawan at 6.30am. When coming back from Sitiawan, took me 7 hours to reach Melaka. Got stucked in between Bidor and Rawang for 4 hours just because there were few policemen standing by the roadside. Damn crazy.

My bus from kl to S'pore on the 13th delayed from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm just because penang to kl highway jam. But to singapore only some part jam for a while. Thank God custom no jam.
