Feb 1st 2005 is the launching of the Malaysian Sci-Fi / Fantasy Community Forum.

So, my fellow ex-Acsians. If you have a passing interest (or more) about fantastic fiction in books, movies, TV and comics; be it science fiction like Star Wars, Stargate SG-1, or Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, or Isaac Asimov's the Foundation series...

...or fantasy like Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, or Piers Anthony's Xanth books... (or TV shows like Carnivale;) )

...or perhaps you'd like to discuss the latest movies with sci-fi or fantasy trappings, like Pirates of the Carribean, or I, Robot, or the upcoming Serenity, based on the cancelled TV show Firefly... (or classic Sci-Fi / Fantasy movies, like The Day the Earth Stood Still, or The Thing, or Tron)

hisham, i just popped over to have a look... you the owner?

why not get a proper board setup with it's own domain name and all? i'd help you out if you like... it'd take me less than an hour to get a phpbb board up...

you only need to pay for the domain name and the hosting. the phpbb script is free. there are loads of skins that you can choose from...

Nope. I'm just a moderator by invite if you can call it that. The guy who invited me is named Richard or "fishyahoo" there. You could offer some suggestions to him, seeing as you have an interest in the stuff, and if you have the time of course.

No Topic Reply Notification and View Last Post of Thread can be quite a bother....

they are so very many sites out there that provide a free board using good scripts (almost all phpbb since it's free) that even if one doesn't want to pay for a proper domain name and hosting, he could still get a good board up for free.

i just thought that if you're the owner i can help you out... :)
