hello everyone... there is a pic taken by Kochun during the MUF gathering. However, I think I look awful that day because I had 2 of my wisdom tooth extracted in the evening of the gathering. However, I made it to the gathering just becuz I had promised to be there..

I couldnt smile widely.. so Alka and Kochun.. sorry ar.. that day was not my normal self. I can be noisy and 'cho lo' wan that day... but I was really in so much pain.

You will face tooth decay if you don't remove it as wisdom teeth are always far behind and are not easily brushed/cleaned using a toothbrush. So, do get a check-up and see if you need to remove it. Otherwise, tooth decay will lead to really bad breath!! :)

Mine is not extract leh. It's a surgery. It's hidden and can't come out. Stuck there. When the dentist told me I really chicken out leh. He did explain a little of the procedure to me. 1st they will cut thru the flesh (yikes...) and extract the tooth all the way thru the roots :eek: You will feel a little pain (which i think he's lying) when they cut the flesh... :eek:

I do agree that the 'peng chiu' part means little to me..probably because I know less than 20% of the people who attended our wedding dinner. It would be so much more meaningful to just have some close friends and relatives for the occasion. But what to do... it means a lot to the older folks because it's the norm.

daBoss and I were lucky we didn't have to do much for our wedding. We only took care of the wedding pics, clothes, make-up/hairdo and invitation to our friends. My parents arranged for the bride's dinner and his parents made all the arrangements for the church wedding and groom's dinner. And because I wasn't involved in the preparation, I wasn't expecting much ... the church wedding turned out lovely and I enjoyed every moment of it.:)

That's why I am soo sad... :(Oh dear...you'll just have to discuss it with him then. I know of many couples who actually compromise taking turns spending CNY with their parents and in-laws. Either that or they spend CNY with one and another festival like Christmas with the other...it does work pretty well. But of course, if he happens to be the only son or child... it would be a little more challenging (must jaga hati in-laws;) )

well, there's a year to plan so plenty of time i guess... keeping it low key is always tough, especially in closely-knitted community like ours... the dinner is really for entertaining neighbours and family friends rather than your friends... can start taking notes of the stuff discussed in 95/96 thread about noname's wedding preparation... may come in handy!

If you had a church wedding, there is a lot of things to be prepared. I have gone thru that during my sister's wedding. Even tho we are just helping her out with mini miny things, we can feel the pressure. Not to mentioned the bride-to-be herself. The last 2 days of her wedding day, she did not even sleep for 48 hrs. So i do advise you to start planning things in advance if you don't have any helper.
