and Honda this afternoon.

Proton is so kiam siap...RM 1000 for graduate trainees and RM 1500 for confirmed graduate staff...
RM 2400 after a promotion to dunno what...
I can't be wrong about the RM 1500....

At least Honda is offering RM 2000 ...
Looking for better offer...

I found this site while googling for ACS Sitiawan to see if they've got round to putting up a website. (Looks like the answer is 'no'.) Anyway, just to let you all know I'm still alive. :-P I was only in ACS from Standard One to Standard Five, so some of you may not know me.

Where is everybody now? I seem to be in Murray Hill, NJ for no good reason even though last I checked I was still registered as a student at Stanford. :-P OKlah, I'm in my 4th year in the Physics PhD programme and I'm collaborating with some people at Bell Labs...long story. Anybody either near New York or in the SF Bay Area?

The class of 99 had a gathering yesterday, 30th Jan (2nd day of CNY) at Hong Jye @ Kacang's place in Sitiawan. IT WAS GREAT!!!

About 30 people turned up...i think. Personally, it was great to see all of them...majority of whom i've never set eyes on since after SPM (whheeeww...tatz a good 6 years ago wei!)

a few people mentioned, "wah lavanya, changed alot dee ah...last time so quiet. now i see u talking non-stop" paiseh oso ah...but decided to take it as a compliment! :p

The best part is to see my friends all working/ studying (minority)...carving something out of their lives...yet, they haven't changed! Could recognize most ppl...but some face remember..name forgotten lo. :( Getting old rite ;p

I would say our upbringing is different from Westerners.
The Westerners I refer to are the middle/upper class Whites in general.

Even the upbringing of American children is different from the English.
Unlike the English who are quite proper in their conduct, the Americans has the Yankee style; a little more like cowboys.

American Navy officers drink directly from the can but British Naval officers will have served in the glasses/globlets and there will be a steward serving. This is just one classic example.

In short, it all boils down to upbringing and culture. That is why my father so super salute the Westerners!
I believe we should learn their good values.
