Hi,

I've received some suggestions regarding the forum which I would like to discuss with all of you before any decisions are made (we're a democracy... :))

1. Some forummers are not "comfortable" that everyone is posting in every forum - e.g. 89er posting in 92er forum. Is this a major issue to the rest of you?

2. There was a suggestion that a moderator is created for each forum and each forum makes their own rules which is enforced by their own moderator. E.g. 89er forum decides that it's OK for everyone to post in their forum but 92er forum decides that non-92ers cannot post in their forum - so their assigned moderator has to enforce this

3. Restrict viewing of the forums - e.g. 89ers cannot view 92er forum posts.

Note that all of the above can be done by modifying the forum engine scripts itself but I'd rather NOT go through the pain of tweaking the scripts and forcing everyone to specify what year their belong to in their profiles.

Personally, I'd leave everything as it is since we're all from the small town of Sitiawan...

What do you think? If there are no replies in this thread, I'd assume that everyone else agrees with me and that we'll leave it as it is. If there are replies, I hope that you all agree with me....

I agree with you Da-Boss. Thats the format of a forum everywhere. Unless its thread crap, then its different. I think as long as it follows the title of the thread everyone should be free to post.

i vote we leave it be. it's nice to see people from different years getting together in whomever's thread it may be. more muhibbah mah like that... as leong chick seng would have said, datanglah beramai-ramai!!

I agree with you guys.

We've all been good friends here and some of us since before our freaking puberty, even between different graduating years. For example, why shouldn't a 95er post in a thread I made in the 1990 forums?

Leave the whole thing the way it is.

In fact I'm stumped by the fact that some of us wish to remain anonymous, since I thought this forum was set up so we can be among old friends, or renew ties with forgotten acquaintances.

wow hisham, i envy you.... you mean to say you reached puberty already? haha...

which leads me to something quite out of topic but then what the hey.

it's a question actually... does the word PUBIC and PUBERTY come from the same root word? i personally think it does not. reason being as follows:

when one reaches puberty, changes happen to their bodies, i won't name all but one certainty is that males will start to grow facial hair, as well as hair around the genitalia. for hair around the latter body parts, we refer to it as PUBIC hair, which is commonly believed to be drawn from the root word PUBERTY.

that's where my qualm comes into play that pubic and puberty should not share the same root word, for if it DOES, i am then shaving pubic hair off my face and chin each and every morning!! haha

I am very aware of the pubes I have on my chin, thank you very much Mr. Creative Director.

*OK Honest, daBoss. No more threadjacking!*

I also put my voice in for no change! In real life, it wasn't as if there were walls or we were seperated in school by forms, not allowed to mingle etc... If too personal to share, the PM loh... Ray and Hisham, you two haven't changed... still going through puberty... heheh

Out of words but the same meaning as all of them....... must be the losers that think of it.... cheh.... this forum is to get to know old friends and not just your own ex-classmate. Aiyah, in Form 5 we still sneak in from the back door to other class........ hehehe

I think for major changes like these, only members with 100++ post can even suggest it. Hahahhahaaaa :D
