Me too. Not wishing to get caught in massive jams. I went back for the Labour Day / Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.'s birthday / Wesak Day long weekend in May and the drive took 6 hours by trunk road. Cars on N-S Highway were moving at 30kph. Once kena never want to kena again!!

Ah... I'm missing and wishing for the number of public holidays Malaysia has... UK damn stingy, only 10 or 12 days in total in a year... :P

Yeah Chris... Apart from Christmas, we got Deepavali, Wesak, Chinese New Year, Aidilfitri, Aidiladha..... all funky names. In the UK, apart from Christmas and Easter, you got..... Bank Holidays! Quite a boring name, I know, I was there. ;)

i win - in the US we get 7 days! because although things like Veteran's Day, Columbus Day, President's day n stuff is a "federal" holiday, many companies do not take those days off. sadly, mine does not. luckily raya was on a sunday so i could take time out and make myself some rendang!
