Dr, it is all depend on a few people and willing to take certain risks!

I instigate my year in late 2007 to start the fire going and by CNY 2008 we concluded the date to celebrate. I think the best location for 25th reunion should be in Sitiawan an subsequent meetings can be anywhere.

Assuming you take my advice. You need 2 key persons. One in Sitiawan to find a suitable restaurant and have the courage to book, say 5 tables for 50 guest. Then another one to be the radio kampong in KL, presumably many of your year mate are based there. He will coordinate and collect the money from those who confirm.

I can only think of Alan Ling to be your radio kampong! He is the best!

As for my years, we started off with very poor response but we took the attitude do NOT care of how many can join us. Once the news spread around and started going and the 5 tables cost are being shared around with a few concern ones, the rest will just be attracted.

We charged $100 per pax but the dinner cost per pax cost us only $50+. The rest of the money goes back to ACS Primary!

Let me tell you that it is worth doing! In fact, I shared some experience with Dr A when I saw him last month! I think your year mates are among the best to do this! You have so many year mates that still care to keep the friendship and i know some of them!

My conclusion is to make it happen regardless of the number of people coming! Find a few people to under write the initial cost and the rest is history! The reunion experience was just wonderful especially we have a few girls taking the trouble coming back to see boys!

It is a magic till today! Some of us still talk about it and the reunion has become reference point of our sweet memory!:)

This Forum is already passed its prime and interest....I think you guys got to find a new platform to drum up interest! If there is a will, there is a way! Your generations have FB, Twiter, etc etc.....

I din noe about re-connecting back with ACS after more than 20 years away.....and the reunion dinner was just topping to the cake...

I know everybody busy gathering gold and more gold....never ending story....but at the end after retired all your old classmate hilang and no contact where got meaning leh....cannot talk to youngster about how much money or gold u have whor......so this is good time to reconnect back with your old classmate.....and I think is worth every single minutes.....:blink:

I think is a failed project....anyway gathering is so easy.....only problem is donation......no body wanted to pay......so have it in my house during CNY can ah.....no need to pay anything just bring everybody....donations depends on passing around hat!!!!:)

The world is actually so so small but yet, we still havent got the chance
to 'accidently' meet despite that her working place and mine is only around few minutes driving apart.

The feeling is good after chating with her for few minutes, catching up with her on the usual stuffs, ie. how many kids we have, how 'young' we looked now, news on the other classmates, some good, some not so good.

It was a wonderful surprise.
