France is through to the World Cup via 2 handballs. Not sad because France qualified, but sad because they disqualified Ireland by cheating. And there were 2 offsides too!!!

+1 on this.
were there any referees at all??!?:weird::confused:
there was a ref and 2 linesmen, but apparently they're blind or something. the linesmen should have spotted the offsides, and the ref should have paid attention to the handballs. eve if he didn't, he shouldn't have awarded the goal immediately when several players were protesting it. he could have confer it first.
and now the stupid thierry henry came out on interview and admit it, then said, hey i wasn't the referee (indicating it wasn't up to him to award the goal). boll*cks really. even a majority of french is ashamed today with this win.

FIFA and sports in general, is all about e money these days..
Ads, revenue, tourism dollars..
Even a supposed great, like Henry, has disappointed us..
But honestly, would anyone in his shoes had gone and admitted to e referee?
I can think of only one time when Robbie Fowler was awarded a penalty unfairly and he told the referee the truth...
Who knows, if France wins e Cup next year, Ireland would be really pissed...

well, the irish are very resilient - we always bounce back...
i think a lot of them felt betrayed, because the irish generally like french...
say, if england is on a match with france, they'll be supporting france...
which is why i think this loss felt like a massive betrayal to many...
as for rugby, i'm good watching the irish team as it is - they're playing great games...
they're on form and therefore highly ranked in among the teams in northern hemisphere...
(this week they're tied with france in 4th place, in terms of rating point - highest for northern hemisphere)
they held themselves well to australia 2 weeks ago, totally destroyed fiji last week...
and this coming weekend they'll be playing south africa - that'll be a good match to watch...
for an island (since the team combined northern ireland and rep of ireland) with only 4 pro rugby teams...
and population size just a bit bigger than NZ but smaller than all other current top teams...
the current irish team has been impressive, and we may have just found the new jonny wilkinson too!

It's sad to see so many fake beggars in town. Most of them go begging at coffee shops. If you talk to them, their speech will tell that they are all from China.
This is the ultimate of all fakes from China....FAKE BEGGARS !!! :sad-2:
this doesn't make me sad at all
it makes me geram
in hk, there were so many of them and some of them with kids that have a missing limb bandaged up crawling on the floor. there were reports that they were injured by their guardian or parent so they could be effective beggars!!!

real dolls are dolls that are made to closely imitate a human...
so it has weight akin to a real life human, and anatomically correct too...
its features can be customised, down to body shape, hair colour etc...
check out the movie lars and the real girl (it's actually a good movie)...
and there was a BBC documentary about it a couple of years ago...
(there is also a documentary on the real baby - here (http://www.channel4.com/programmes/my-fake-baby))
(and please watch at your own discretion - may be disturbing to some)
(ps: hmmm seems like the full video is not hosted on channel 4 anymore - it's just a short clip)

Really sad to hear that Dato. Sometimes tragic event in the family can trigger an onset of serious health problems ! Too much happiness/overjoy is dangerous to health too ..
Thus, equanimity should be the policy when faced with tragic incidents and happy/ joyous occasions..
In Malaysia, its really sad to hear and read on a daily basis victims of snatch thieves and robberies.
Today, the paper reported about a 66 year old lady who died 6 hours after she fell when she was pulled by a snatch thief while pillion riding on her son’s bike.
Last week, a fine and prominent Malaysia, Patrick Wong died when he jumped from his 1st floor balcony while trying to escape from 3 robbers who have broken into his house earlier. Patrick was the immediate Past President of Master Builder Association. He was a very dynamic leader and very outspoken about issues that affect the construction industries. Some believe that he could have stepped on the toes of some very powerful forces ..

Sad to hear Linda C' s family is uprooting to Aussieland...
Today, another friend is flying of to the Land of the long white clouds with the whole family... They may return in 5 to 6 years when the children go to college, but the children are unlikely to return..
Seriously, the momentum to emigrate from M'sia seemed to be accelerating despite the dramatic event of March 8, 2009 (results of last year's GE).. Looks like some people still feel that Msia's political landscape has not change enough !!
Good and smart people are leaving M'sia in droves.. and we're filling the "vacancies" with labouring masses from the neighbouring country..
