This might be a little touchy issue. But what the heck.

Let's discuss the issue about having pets around in public places. Not parks or anything like that but more towards eateries, hawker centres, food courts, etc etc.

Here in the States, i don't recall seeing any pets brought by people into eatery outlets. Don't even see stray dogs roaming the streets. Why? Apa cerita KK?

First of all ar.. lemme say i love dogs.

Now.. when people bring their pet dogs to hawker centres, that's a bit too much liao. Altho these people treat their dogs like their children (you know, bathe them nice nice, then dress them up nicely, complete with ribbons and perfume and carry them like babies) and are probably cleaner than some patrons there, it's still not very nice to me lar.

I have also seen people carrying their dogs like babies on a harness and walking around in wet market. Here you buying fish, there she haggling prices with her baby dog whose tail is almost sweeping the fishes.

Aiyah...these people only want to show off that they are like Paris Hilton or something. But truth be told, if Paris Hilton bring dog to a restaurant, sure kena tendang keluar wan.....its against the law to bring pets into such places.

Quite a few people also bring their toy dogs hiking lah.... I'm ok with that but disagree with dogs in people makan places. I don't care is they have perfume on them or if they do look like paris hilton, dogs eat from the doggy bowl and not human plate ok...

People who brings dogs to makan places are tarak otak people. Its becoming a trend in KL.

For all I care if they F**k the dogs at home while bathing them, the dogs should be left at home when it comes to makan.

haven't seen any animals in food places.... only the dead kind served up on your platter
generally here, the law is more stringent, pets aren't even allowed in shops (like hardware store, newsagents, liquour shop, etc. i remember bcos, you always see dogs tied up to lamp-posts outside of these places.

i thot in m'sia one is not allowed to bring dogs to public places (bcos they are haram?)

I dun mind them bring their pets to parks or hiking areas. But to makan places or market? aiyor...

I really do not mind dogs, but some owners are REALLY bo brains. Just now only saw a dog with a tag wondering around scavenging rubbish bins. Plus a cat which often come into the kitchen rummaging rubbish bin. KNN. If catch I will probably buy test the 'cats always land on their feet' theory from 9 storeys up.

This is getting more complicated as more and more people are having expensive dogs as pets.

Yvette

Over here, only dogs for the blind are allowed in buildings.
But I agree, pets should stay out of restaurants and grocery stores. It doesn't matter how expensive the pets are, they are still pets!

what do you do if you were to meet an owner with his or her humungous dog in the lift? to take another lift or pull a brave face and go in the lift? sometimes pets do pee or poopoo in the lift yucks!

kamkuey
06-27-2009, 05:21 PM
As long as you have some cow sense as a pet owner and not bother anyone else, then there's no problems. Most, if not all condos and apartments have a no pet ruling. But most of the residence are understanding enough and tolerant as most owners keep their pets quiet and clean.

Those who allow their pets to shit and pee in the elevator should have contents from the septic tank pumped into their units. Brainless idiots.
