Hi everyone.. :)
I would like to update on the softball in ACS Sitiawan primary school and also Manjung team. We had a game with SJK(C) Uk Dih on Monday(30/3) and our boys got more runs. Consider we won that match. The purpose of that game was to see which boys can play so that we can choose the players. In the end, we had to come back on Thursday(2/4) for another selection. So, yesterday we had all the 15 manjung players' names. 7 boys from our school were chosen to represent Manjung. Hopefully this year our Manjung boy team will be able to win few matches or so.. Just cross our fingers and pray for something to happen.. hahaha..

The State Level for softball will be held on 27 till 30 April in Taiping. As for the exact venue of the competition, so far no news yet. Hopefully I will have the time to update those softball lovers with the latest news!

Cheerio.......

Haven't got the time to train the players. Volleyball competition starts on 14/4 which is just around the corner. So have to stop the softball training to concentrate on the volleyball game.

next week there will probably be a softball friendly match in SJK(C) Uk Dih. The Hilir Perak District will be coming over for a friendly match with the Manjung team. It's only to expose the players to the game..:)

hmm.. perhaps u really dont believe it but so far, yes. There is a boy in Year 6 who managed to hit home run twice. It was hit when we met with a weaker team but hey, a HOME RUN is still a HOME RUN.. :D
so you want to be his sports agent?? Coincidentally, he loves sports...;)

Yes, there's a boy with the name of Joel Ling. He managed to hit home run twice. And everytime when he finished the run, he will tell me his legs were shaking all over. Perhaps he was nervous or the pitcher's ball was too fast. But the truth is he's the only one so far who hits home run..
That's why I'm hoping that when they represent Manjung, the boys will win at least a few matches.. even if its only 1. I will be very happy already..:noworry:

The softball in Nan Hwa can mantain until now is because they have dedicated players.. the EX-PLAYERS!! Almost every Saturday they come to the school to coach the players. Unlike ACS, there is no one there to coach..!

Hmmm... Basically YES!! I have to handle 2 different sports in ACS Primary. Volleyball and softball.. although not very good, at least now the pupils know how to play those two games.. Some even make it into Manjung team playing for state level. Unfortunately, lack of experience, they lost in the state level..:( at least i can say "I tried my best!" with the help from the pupils.. ;)

I believe the CTA1 Foochows will come up top, at least in terms of time spent around the Mahjong table ....

Is that the reason why the name Dindings was changed to Manjung, just so it rhymes with Mahjong ??
