Many people may be asking around on how to post pictures in the forum. I hope I can give a little help and explanation. It is rather easy, I assure you. Try this.
Steps
1. Subscribe to a free photo hosting website i.e www.photobucket.com or www.uploadit.org
2. You need to upload the pictures in your pc to the photo hosting website
3. Once uploaded, that picture will be assigned an address (url) (i.e www.photobucket.com/kochun/.../picturename.jpg)
4. To post, insert the url address in between www...
Good luck.

a) first, identify the photo you want to load... try to keep it about 600x400 pixels or smaller if possible...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/lilianl/missworld.jpg
b) login to photobucket with your login and password (this image is 600x400 pixels)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/lilianl/photob1.png
c) browse for the picture (this is 600x400 pixels)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/lilianl/photob2.png
LiLiaN
11-25-2005, 09:45 PM
d) now copy the link generated indicated by "img" (see highlighted line, this is 600x400 pixels)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/lilianl/photob3.png
e) paste the copied link onto forum posting box, click preview to see (if you wish, this is 600x400 pixels)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/lilianl/photob4.png
f) this is how it'll turn up in forum, so if in preview mode, click submit and pic can be viewed by everyone (again 600x400 pixels)

i think with video, you need to find a host somewhere...
and then post the link from there to the forum...
quick google search reveal a few free video hosts out there...
so just check one of them out i supposed...

hey fishingman, thanks for sharing and i'm glad that guide helps...
you may now start new thread in your class or general forum to share more pics!
lav, i usually use photoshop to resize my pic (usually to reduce size, never to enlarge though)...
and ok, seeing that this is a feedback thread, just a caution not to turn this into a chatting thread, thank you. :)

ok, there are some issues on posting pictures in the forum lately...
plus there are also some new forummers who are unsure what to do...
so i hope this will help to clarify issues a little...
1. you need a host (e.g. photobucket, flickr) to host your images - you cannot upload directly from your pc
2. if you need guide on how to do it, use the picture tutorial to guide you - part 1 (http://www.acs-sitiawan.com/forum/showpost.php?p=205223&postcount=14) and part 2 (http://www.acs-sitiawan.com/forum/showpost.php?p=205223&postcount=15)
3. in order to facilitate viewing by all members and minimise loading problem for anyone on dialup, please try to keep the size to maximum 600x450 pixels
4. you can use www.resize2mail.com (http://www.resize2mail.com) to resize your images via the internet (and it's free service)
5. otherwise, other programs like adobe photoshop works very well too; use "image" - "resize" - "image size" and then specify the size
6. alternatively, within photobucket itself, there's an option to edit the image where you can resize the photo there directly
we appreciate you sharing images with the rest of the forummers...
and also consideration for anyone who have only dialup access...
on a personal note, i know that i always remind forummers to try to keep the size of images reasonable...
i don't mean to be picky on this issue, but it's not pleasant for pages to take forever to upload due to image sizes...
your cooperation would be much appreciated...

Can someone help explain the uses of PHOTOSHOP?
To explain in simple language....it is a sofware used for enhancing picture, creating, adding, combining or deleting certain section of photos, creating posters etc. You can put your face onto Naomi Campbell's body and make it look totally u!!

where u want to post?
LiLiaN
08-14-2009, 09:48 PM
the most simple basis of it is, the picture must be hosted online first...
some people use photobucket or flickr or picasa etc as their photo managing site...
once the photo is hosted online somewhere, it has its own unique URL...
to post a picture to the forum, insert the URL between the tag...
if you tell us what is yourr photo hosting site, we could try to help better...

there's a button on the tool bar that looks like a pix of a mountain. use that one. yellow color de. alternatively, use these tags: ur image link address just put ur image location on the web inside, and voila...easy as photoshopping! lol!
LiLiaN
08-20-2009, 01:29 AM
we get that you're trying to post photo to the forum...
but you must put the photo somewhere online first...
the places to store these pictures can be flickr, photobucket, picasa etc...
so, hypothetically speaking, i have uploaded my photo to flickr...
and pretend the url of my photo is http://www.flickr.com/photos/lilian/sample.jpg
then, to put the picture here, it must be tagged with the img tags (as said by shiruikage)...
--> http://www.flickr.com/photos/lilian/sample.jpg
(the code is to be posted as a single line without any space between the tags and the url)
the image should then pop up automatically inline in the post...
