I just try some old things (my granny time) these days. One of them is a cast iron frying pan (feel like old kuali) and using coarse sea salt.....I find the heat distribution very even & heat retention are the best.... can forget about non-stick pans....and the coarse sea salt and they brought out more natural favours of the food.... kind of rediscover the good old of cooking habits....anyone have tried these before?:)

Just about to get my hands on a cast iron grill for business as well. I've been using seasalt in all my sausages since I started so I don't have 'normal' salt in my house anymore. Seasalt do make the food taste better as compared to 'normal' salt.

....this title straight brought me back to the good
ol' days of our definition of "masak-masak". Gosh, we were
really good chefs back then, from frying stones, rubber seeds
and whatever we can think off. :D

Nope didn't hear anything about it. I want a cast iron for the good heat retention and once it's seasoned will be really nice to use.
