Ingredients:
250 gm. or 500 gm. peanuts (without skin)
Some seedless red dates - Optional
Some dried longans (mata kucing) - Optional
Some uncooked rice - Optional
1. Wash peanuts and soak them in water overnight (Very IMPORTANT)
2. Pour away the water.
3. Put the peanuts and fresh water (the amount is up to you) in a pot.
4. Boil them using medium fire.
5. Test the peanuts to see if they are cooked. If peanuts are cooked,
they are very soft and break very easily.
6. If they are cooked, add uncooked rice, red dates, dried longans, and some more water, if necessary. Boil them slowly, using medium fire, again. Do not cover the pot.
7. Don't be lazy!! Stir constantly!!
8. When the soup is cooked, add sugar according to your taste.
Easy, isn't it?? Some people don't like to put rice in this but I like it a lot!
thanks ah wong. going to try this one too!
