Anyone who's in the real estate business...please help me with two questions..

1) How much should i pay for the agent commission? and what is a fair rate?
2) Does the seller have to pay for lawyer fees?

Is either 2 or 2.5%......lawyer fee.....I had my own lawyer....so pay lor.....The choice will be U want the same lawyer from the buyer side or not...U trust him or not!!!:)

its better not to have the same lawyer.

each one shd have own lawyer to protect himself

My just signed S&P few months ago.....due 3 months this august......had my own lawyer.....I'm still knocking my head for thinking I don't lawyer friends in KL........knock knock!!!!:squeeze:

renting of house/condo/apartment - i believe it is 1 month rental

sale of house/condo/apartment - i believe it is 2% of sale price

as for lawyer....u have option whether to choose to use back the buyers' lawyer or u find your own lawyer. If u choose to use back buyer lawyer u just pay a minimal fees....few hundred gua for some papers etc but if any discrepencies occur....the lawyer will side with the buyer.

but if you choose your own lawyer you have to pay like a few thousands for him but of course you will be protected

in my case previously sold my apartment i just choose back the buyer lawyer and pay a minimal fees...so far its all ok ...;)
