Coming Bek to CTA1 - suggestions

It has been more than 7 years since I last step into CTA1. Now I am planning to make another journey alone back to join my yearmates for the 25 years reunion dinner. Based on the several posting exchanges, I will be in a totally new world. There hardly anymore relatives back there so I am quite free to do the things I want to do. So any suggestions that things I must do or eat and places I must visit back there?

Try Mei Hock restaurant. Their steam fish is my fav!! :)
I can't exactly recall what its called, but Chris ordered it for me.

have cendol, kompiang, or chien, asam laksa, wet popiah, curry laksa, rojak....... climb ungku busu, drive to lumut, go pangkor, see ACS, go yum cha with Loktor and gang, go walking at astaka, maybe play badminton..lots of things to do....:squeeze:

Another suggestion, that mangrove swamp park near Teluk Batik / Lumut area.
Take a drive to Kampung Aceh(i think) where they have major port there now.
A bit shocking to see such progress back home.

there are some very good spots......behind Looking Good or behind New Road Health Clinic. :)

Forget about fishing in sitiawan-lah, want to catch small whiting also hard to do liau. But I suggest go camping in Teluk Sekadih in Pangkor.

some advise in cta1 especially for ppl who left cta1 for many years n i'm one of them....when i was in sillypore, quite close as compare to US...i can go back every quarterly....n whack to the max. 5 meals.....breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner n supper....but you cannot over eat on every meal.. only sometime during seafood session, i believe u will eat more.....think about coconut villa, i'm drooling?????so dato, don't worry for your trip back to cta1u hv so many frens in cta1 n i gurantee u hv a pleasant cta1 trip. if not,,,i owe u for next trip n by then, jimmy will wait for in cta1 to host u...ok.(i'm 2 years your senior) i recognise u, dato.

betul....at least once if u hv a short stay so u can hv more varieties n futhermore, u r interested in cooking, at least u will gain some knowlegde of cta1 cuisine.....i'm a ciku seller in cta1 3 decades ago n over here in us, i don't know how they eat it n expensive like 4.99 a lb...it is too raw!...but in cta1, it is so sweet n smooth. i try before n the bitterness is still there...
so make use of the makan time to taste the food u cannot get in your pl.

I had ciku, lots of them this trip to Hanoi....waa.....so delicious and sweet.

The only thing I noticed is that the Vietnam ciku is like kuai loh.....white and not like the Malaysian ones....kena sun tan ones.

bro, CLMV offers lots of oportunities........come back and try your luck and you shall not be disappointed.

If you plan to come back next year, I would actually suggest that you find a US company that wants to do biz in CLMV and send you as an expatriate to these countries.....earn USD and live like a king. Not even think about coming back to Malaysia......it sucks......everybody is blaming everbody else and there is no direction at all these days. :(

Dinner in CTA1 on the 31/8 and some golf games around that day. Other than that... everything is still in the air.....:)
