Lets give a hand to those in need

Hi there everyone, glad to see that class of 92 is still going strong. Just a note that I wish to share with you lot, I think many of us has seen the devastation caused by the recent tsunami. Just to think that in a couple of minutes more than a hundred thousand voices went silent, breathe their last breath, fathers losing sons, sons losing fathers...the magnitude of their pain and suffering is unimagineable. As the dawn of a new year is upon us, let us usher it in with purpose, with kindness and care. I plead to all of you reading this thread, please help, donate if you can, there are many centres around that are in need of clothes, food stuff, drinking water, medicine and man -power. Please pray for those who lost loved ones, pray as well for those who are injured and pray for those who are there to help. Rather than just seeing it from the sideline, lets make a positive effort to start the new year. Remember the recycle newspaper project that we pulled off with with great sucess, maybe this time we could do the same. Thanks for reading this thread, Happy New Year to all....

Dope, congrats for your 1st post. Finally see you here. I fully agree that as we usher in 2005, let's not get carried away and forget about those who are suffering. Let us always remember them in our thoughts, prayers and as we give them a helping hand. Having said all, I am contributing through my company campaign. The company has challenged the staffs by meeting every ringgit the staffs give. Therefore, the amount gathered will be doubled eventually.
