Which do you prefer? I have been working on Mac's since beginning of the year and though I initially disliked the experience, I am kinda getting fond of it now. Mac's have outstanding visual graphics and thus its more suited for people in media production business. Also I seem to find PC's to be more efficient and enables the user to multi task better. However with the advent of Windows crappy Vista, many have opted to go over to Mac. The Mac OS X, seldom crashes and softwares running on Mac's are more bug free then their Windows counterpart. Mac's are seemingly more popular with the younger generation as well, probably for being cooler and sexier. PC's are depicted as nerdy, geeky tools. There was an ad not to long ago about Mac's and PC's. The Mac was represented by a good looking young lad wearing a sweater and jeans while the PC guy was kinda nerdy looking with a business suit and thick glasses. Mac marketing I guess and their timing was pretty good.

the very first personal computer i used was an Apple IIE
only after that i started using IBM PC clones.

It is true that if u are in the media/advertising/design industry, Macs are a must. I've owned an iMac, PowerMac G3 and G4 at the office, while also using the PC for office work.

I have no preference to either. It all depends on what do i want to achieve.

If it's gaming, then of course a PC, but if designing, then Mac.

It is not completely true that the MacOS doesn't crash. It just crashes less than Windows, esp brand new Windows. Why on earth would anyone switch to Vista now? Don't you remember Windows XP before SP2? It took MS years to somewhat stabilise XP.

If i were to open up a retail business, i'd buy an iMac, just for the coolness factor.

If you have gaming and a need to try out new utilities/software/hacking then PC all the way. If you are already complaining how expensive add on software/hardware is for the PC, stay clear of Macs. They are generally more expensive and lack choices. Go for a machine that suits your needs, don't go for it because it looks cool.

the newer macs are built on Intel processors rather than IBMs, so the best thing about them is that you can run windows on them using a software called bootcamp (http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/) (click on the link)

Final verdict? get a mac. it now caters to office users, graphics/media people AND GAMERS

haha.. not sure about that, but i use the normal optical logitech mouse on my ibook and its quite alright.. can right click and all

now i can't remember how to right click without a mouse! was it SHIFT + click, or COMMAND + click or OPTION + click?

anyways apple has come up with a solution for that too : the mighty mouse (http://www.apple.com/mightymouse/)

i dont think its as comparable with the razer gaming mouse tho

Facts about suggested Mac usage:

Anyone desiring to go to semi-pro to pro audio recording WITH music programming (via Logic Studio) should at least opt for a MacBook Pro or an IMac. Mac Pros are the DEFINITIVE Holy Grails as far as Macs are concerned where I personally think one can integrate audio and video post-pro work with much less hassle (provided the CPU as well as the RAM are KAU-KAU on the HIGH SIDE) :D

Anyone wants good Malaysian price can contact me via PM as I may have some jalan ya! :D
