Agree, everyone uses the internet, and in this internet age, is would definitely be bad if the employees are not allowed usage on the internet.

Ya, my bosses do that too, Yahoo and messangers as well.

To your q, if I was the owner, I would allow, provided that the users are wise users. No porn and other stuff would be nice. As currently, my company also imposes this rule.

A certain limit would do good.

Most of the time its ok if you do it minimally. And of course, never go onto porn and job sites. A little risky there.

Understand what you all saying. I guess the key thing is, be wise in the internet usage. It pays to be wise.

You'd never want your boss to be checking on you. Once that happens, I think life at work is gonna be real hard, as you're so strictly monitored.

I am glad my company allows us to use the internet to check our personal mails. But that should be outside of working time, and as agreed, work should be completed first.

My company have been monitoring employees accessing these sites.. eventhough there's firewall on certain sex sites, but once u try accessing these sites.. u will be detected..
