As per my telecon with you yesterday.... let say it is ON lar..... then we decide the details later lor...... see how many people are interested. I am for sure will try to organise my next year schedule around it lor...... just ask the Forum members to pass the word around and get our peers to contact one point for the time being. Tentative dates will be Deepavali or Hari Raya Season.... wat say u?

b4 officially passing it to our yr. Most likely KK will chair this

I hope by then we have the official dates and he can be the link between Sitiawan and Sydney.

I think our 1983 people are all missing. So the 25 years reunion is looking dead at this point of time. So far, I can only see Hammerhead, H2O, Chris and me are the only registered visitor to the FORUM......

Personally, I prefer 27 Dec due to my kids school and I can have my kampong follow me bek.... but most of them pefer not to have that time due to too many activities for them..... dun noe if it is fix or not..... so far only the few e-mails being shooting around from our group....

Of course, eveybody has their own life and schedule to run but if you manage to convince and show them the light, then only they will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

OPA lagi hopeless and I dun noe anyone there.....

I felt veri sori for KK... he has to have a big back to receive arrows and a broad shoulder to carry the load to organise tis....... again I have to go round and round.... now u see my bollywood pictures.....

I felt veri sad about tis dinner on date Merdeka Day ......cos I kenot bring my family back even though some months ago I have found transport to run around Msia and accomodations for the whole family.... very very rare friends I have from CTA1.... none of my kids got any ideas about CTA1...... so sad :sad-2: :sad-2:

no, when i was informed by group email that the date had been set for merdeka day, i replied all (as an open discussion) that my daughter is sitting for her hsc (equiv of the stpm) abt a month after that date.... so there is no way i can abandon my kids in the middle of the school term and leave them alone in sydney without any adult supervision. but there is no room for consideration it seems. i just wanted to know who was so powerful to make such a decision without a group discussion.

anyway i have lost interest in the so-called reunion - hope you can meet up with many of our long-lost year mates and see all our beloved and respected teachers haha

I am happy to see that the reunion dinner is taking shape for the horses of 66. Regretably Audrey and I will not be able to make it due to us expecting a baby girl this May, otherwise I would definitely not miss this.

Now on the date, it would be so nice if you guys would reconsider having the reunion on a day that falls on a major school break such as the late December date as initially proposed. This would be a common time where most people can get a break considering most of us do have kids children that are of school age. August 31 is a pretty good date as it's still summer break in some places but not so in southern hemisphere. And you guys back home in Malaysia and in neighboring Singapore can easily meet over any extended weekend if there is enough motivation but it would be so much more difficult for those from overseas to just come home for those few days. Don't you want to see their whole happy family? :) This may truly be once-in-a-life-time opportunity to meet some of our old friends together with their families. I would count myself very blessed if I am still around and able to meet on our 50th. Let's make this an inclusive event.

Finally, the dinner is happening. I have booked months ago on Jetstar ticket to get bek. After everything planned for NKS, makan-makan, dinner, golf, see old GFs & BFs..... and then Jetstar called me some weeks ago that I can fly direct from Syd to KL..... but coming bek.. no more direct flight!!! With the budget fare I paid, they kenot put me on a full service flight as alternative.

So now my flight bek is a little complicated... KL => SG => Darwin => finally Sydney.....

Now everything settled... this reunion is worth more than all these troubles.... the last few months we found out a few long lost frens are big time and quiet achievers...:)

Finally, I will start my journey tomorrow morning on the good old memory lane walk.... it has been nearly 9 months since I tried to find out how we can do this. Special thanks to those who have been quietly do lots of organising and contacting work to get this event happening.

Also special thanks to my wife whom have to be left behind to take care of my 4 young kids so that I can enjoy this ACS spirit.

This journey will be particularly sentimental and emotional as I plan to see a few old friends, the canteen owner, Mrs Tan and teachers such as ET's dad whom I lost touch more than 30 years ago. Thanks this forum that helped me to trace to this wonderful Mr Tan.

I wish I could meet many more people whom my path crossed in ACS but time are limited. To make it worse, news that they are no longer around sadden me even more. I must apologize to those I cannot meet during this trip.

Appreciate those I can meet in NKS session tomorrow nite as first stopover in KL. Then I will be to CTA1, then to Kulim, Penang, Kuching and Singapore and back to Sydney.

Will be looking forward for a time well spent as it cost me nearly half of my annual leave to make this journey.

TQ....indeed it was a journey down the memory lane with the Wesley service on Sunday, Golf in Damar Laut, seeing Mr Ling Ong Sing and the teachers.

As quick update, just finished our dinner last nite and we just do not have enough time to yak after 25 years of different life, almost half of us continue our yakking session in Lumut for another that ended 3.30 in the monring today.

There were only around 40 of us came for the reunion dinner and we have a fun time together. Our chairman, Kee Kai decided that we collect a donation from our year mates to support the ACS Primary. As per the record, we raised nearly RM41K during this dinner. Despite small attendance, we just just glad to be able to meet each other.

There are so much to share but at a later date when I am back home in OZ. I currently in the north and have limited time at the moment due to tight schedule.

Glad to meet up with Cucuan, OddF, Ody, JC, LZ (thx to Mrs LZ for the wonderful home made chinnamon bread), Alka, Jaclyn and a few more in KL and Dr Alf in CTA1 even it was a late Thu nite. Very sorry to Anson that it was just too late notice to you. My sincere aplogies to FM that I kenot fulfill my promise to swing to Cheras. So many friends to catch up but just not enough time.

Special thanks to ET for giving me her father's contact details, my teacher whom I have not met for 31 years. Among the surprises, managed to see Tonto and Andrew and 2 lovely kids before they cabut to Doha.

come to think of it.... actually not leh....

Maybe cos I met up with old friends and go to old familiar places or food operators to makan and makan... I think it would be different if I go bek on my own just for a visit...

our gang met up for breakfast to enjoy kampuang at the Kg Koh new market, then lunch in some where near Nan Hwa and then dinner in Kg China rubber estate.... then supper at Koping......our reunion dinner is at Bei King restaurant....

I must say it is the ACS spirit and company that masked all the changes.... we yak and yak and drink and drink.....like 25 years ago..it is even more freedom just like before for me, as I was all alone during this trip like a bachelor, a rare opportunity to be with myself alone again.....

Only komplain that shock me was driving... I borrowed a car from my uncle..... and can only stay on the main road and must be used to do lots of U turns...... I went to Dr Alf Klinik but 4 eyes.... 2 on the road for road sign and 2 on the shop sign board.... wow.... his big klinik is nearer to my Pundut house than to CTA1....was rubber estate before....

Even his big klinik also hard to find... I target the nicest and biggest in the vicinity and just barged in and asked for Dr Alf....the pretty nurse told... "salah boss.... ini klinik isteri punya.. Dr Goh punya klinik kat tepi....":):)

Dr Alf... my sincere apologies for taking up your precious time with ur sakit puan patients and not apprearing in 933 to meet up with ur wifey....:squeeze:

Mrs Tan, who well stock her food in the New Canteen..... taught me about being faithful to God despite all the tribulations in life..her pain of a loving a mother.. and to see the fruit of her labour through her son Herbert....BTW, he is going to celebrate 25 years fulltime dedication service in CTA1 Wesley this Saturday....
