go to ho chung tuck coffeeshop in damansara uptown - opposite alliance bank. there's a stall there selling loh mee and ang chiu mee sua. they speak hokchiew. and i've heard the people there do the regular fancy hokchiew greetings, in case you're wondering if they're authentic.

here i was, casually reading through the threads, minding my own business. there was talk about food, and some that we more descriptive, (ie, loh me and ais kacang) and i was still fine. didn't do anything to my taste receptors, it was all talk...

AND THEN YOU HAD TO REMIND ME OF THE GLORIOUS BAMBOO SHOOTS IN THE DAMN LOH MEE!!! now you got my saliva ducts producing saliva overtime!!! arrghhhh!!!!

i remember how some crazies use to empty 3/4 of a bottle of kampung koh chilli sauce into the gravy at the school canteen. :( i am starting to miss the canteen food now.. remember they had the prawn batter thing that was deep fried in oil, and where you put lots of sweet chilli sauce on top? hmm??? haha

also remember that hokkien mee shop, now it's at Back street... where you get one bowl of Ching Tong noodles, put in the chili paste (at a ratio of 5 times more than the volume of the soup). stir until the soup is so red and fiery that just by looking at it will make you scalp sweat and itch!!

Omg, both of us is starting at food now. The cheng tong used to remind me whenever i eat fish ball soup in KL and ask for chili paste rather than the fresh chili. My friend will be wondering why the soup are red in colour. Hehe.. they will never understand that taste bud we have. Ah... kompiang... never missed them each time i go back S'wan.... Hell, my children never learn to enjoy them... must force them this time.
