starting a new thread, with a recipe as requested by ath... :)

this is recipe from my friend meg, and she makes great dips!
like me, we love tweaking stuffs to taste so we don't often measure exactly everything!

250g cooked chickpeas
50g tahini (i.e. paste of slightly roasted sesame)
1 lemon, juiced
1 clove of garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
ground cumin
salt and pepper
flat leaf parsley and cayenne pepper to serve, optional

- blend chickpeas, tahini, lemon, garlic and olive oil into a paste (add a little water to smooth it out if necessary)
- add cumin, salt and pepper to taste (see, the tweaking part)

note: you can play around with the amount of tahini as well...
some people like it with more, some with less...
but i think this is a good amount to start...

I'm pretty sure I won't climb as fast as I walk unless I solo the climb :). Actually some guy did a test on some cliff area. I think they were trying to find out if a car can drive up the cliff faster or if a climber can climb the cliff faster. And they hire a really good climber for this. And it turns out that even though the guy was climbing super fast and free solo (no protection, no rope), I believe he still ends up a little slower than the car. But then the next question is if the car can drive down faster that the climber can climb down. The moment the car starts driving, the climber just jump down straight with parachute and was down in mins :). It was funny...

ohh ic...just for ur infomation all chef never teach u his full recipe . if u want learn 1 type of dish u need look for atleast 5 chef..... they will tell u diffrent things...u just try put some ice cube when u blend...the result will diffrent.. ur hummus will become white and the olive oil will not split even u keep in chiller for 1 weeks

an average person, walking, one can walk about 4km/hr...
for someone who's used to hiking and trekking, even more than that...
so by just doing slow job, it can be achieved within 2 hours...
just stop thinking about the number, and pace yourself nicely...
no point dashing quickly then get tired and slow down to walking pace...

right, so it's the big day today, and it's rather grey sky out...
i hope it won't be cool because if so, i may suffer...
too much cold air makes me feel like i can't breathe...
and that will inevitably slow me down, a lot...

10K is a lot of me...imagine i failed my 2.4K when I took the fitness test during poly time....if not, i think at least i can get a silver...coz i scored quite well in others...:squeeze:

well, i used to fail(-ish) when doing school's 1.5K so i do wonder at times why it seemed so bad back then but ok for now... ah well, we change our views i guess... and once you realised that something is achievable, it'll drive you into achieving it again, or improve on that...

so remember, nothing (well, almost nothing) is impossible... especially if you put your mind on it...

anyway, gotta run (not the 10K yet, it's in the afternoon but i've got to get some work done first)... wish me luck and talk later!

bah humbug, disappointing... didn't make much improvement with the time...
after talking to my friends, i realised it's impossible to improve given our starting position...
because there's some 40K plus women taking part in the marathon...
they split into 4 categories - elite runner, runner, jogger and walker (we registered as joggers)...
they let the elite runner starts first, followed by runner, then jogger and last walker...
and there's always a huge group of jogger, all congregrating in one big long queue...

it took us some 15 minutes to get from our position in the "queue" to the starting line (it was what, 50m?)...
and because there's already so many people in front of us...
and some has stopped running/jogging pretty much right away...
it tooks us nearly 20 minutes to clear the first 2 (very tiring) km...
we spent more time darting left and right trying to find some space to squeeze through...

our conclusion - if we don't want to have that many people in front of us, we have to be there some one hour (if not more) ahead of the starting time in order to have less people in front of us that would block us... we couldn't qualify to get into runner category because we need prove that we could run 10K in 60 mins but wasting time in jogger category makes it a vicious cycle that we could never achieve that 60 mins with so many slow jogger in front of us...

and i'm in pain today... yikes...

Just enjoy the movie and forget about logic and story line...most of it doens't make sense haha.
