Hehehe - I was just thinking of lobbying for a poll/sticky for the BEST PLAYERS instead of relying SOLELY on the BWF/IBF rankings..........now that there have been TOOOOO MANY KINGPINS in both the MEN and WOMEN section lately - especially with the sudden emergence of the likes of Fairuzizuan and Zakry (who have been dumping quite a number of famed doubles pairs including KKK and TBH) as well as the "RESURRECTION?" of Lee Chong Wei, and as for the women, names to watch out for lately include Petya Nedeltcheva and even Tine Rasmussen besides famous names of Xie Xingfang, Pi Hongyan and Zhang Ning :D Any takers?

KKK and TBH are the men's double gold medallist in the 2007 Doha Asian Game and winner of this year All-England championship and then clinched another title in the Swiss Open. This young double has improved tremendously only in a short period of time unseen before in our history. They can match Park Joo Bong/Kim Moon Soo and Ricky Subagia/Rexy Mainaky in terms of speed, defense, attack, power and more importantly very skillful.
But our players have one problem - inconsistent in form.

I propose our sports ministry should send our aspiring youngsters for training stints/sparring with the PRC's players for a period of time, say 6 months to a year in order to pick up invaluable experiences eg. their staying power, defense/attack skills, court's endurance and most importantly adhering 100% all the strict disciplines lay down by the Chinese coaches....."NO PAIN, NO GAIN".....

Knock and the door shall be opened mah......:cheesy:
Just look at our top artistic gymnast, Ng Shu Wai. He was based in China for the last few years and he was a silver medallist at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
And the world top ranking squash players, Ong Beng Hee and Nicol Davids. They are both based in UK and Amsterdam respectively and have brought continuous glory to Malaysian. No doubt squash players get strong sponsorship and endless supports from the Malaysian Squash Associations (MSA) and the National Sports Council (NSC). That's why, I was suggesting if BAM can consider sending our potential young shuttlers over to the PRC's badminton academy. Let them face the hardship and acquire valuable lessons there instead of wasting their untapped skills locally under the charge of imported coaches.
You're right TK. I also read some of our problematic players staged a walk out when they couldn't bear the punishing training programmes set by these coaches, whether the Chinese coaches, Morten Frost Hansen or Park Joo Bong.....of course some produced some relatively good results in their participated tournaments but not sustainably good enough......slacking sooo......easily.....Those were the old horses. All retired liao, some become coaches, businessmen and also had a brief stint as actors, haha.....
Wanna write personally to Datuk A the ministeress ah? But then hor, what do u think went wrong with our coaching method instead?? Or is it REALLY........??
Aiyah Anson, kita sembang-sembang di sini cukuplah. I thot she already has a 'huge plan' for our sportsmen and sportswomen mah......building a massive sports' complex in UK......what's the cost ah?......Did our cabinet approve this so call 'good idea' ah? Konon with the sacrificing of the taxpayers' money, our athletics will improve.....??. Harap-harap semua jadilah. We want to see real results not 'hangat-hangat tahi ayam' resultslah :weird:
