As for Ampang YTF, there's a popular shop in Pudu...don't ask me for directions.

Athena, which Hokkien mee store are u referring to? Is it the one in Pulau Tikus?
But the Hokkien mee in Penang is different from the one in Sitiawan. Over here the soup is more spicy...
Talkin abt food...I love this claypot curry fish in Chai Leng Park in Prai. Dem cheap somemore...a bowl with prawns, squids and fish for 2 pax only costs RM16. JimD, you know the place, rite?

I know where is ikan bakar and roast duct but the Full Wealth Rest.... got to ask some kulim ppl for direction.
There is a good and cheap Thai food along the trunk between Sg. Petani and Gurun. Oppt Shell station just before Havard Golf course. Their tom yam and friend pork leg is good.
Another one is Fish Head bee hoon at Raja Uda (towards the end of the road). a little pricy but good food.

How can I forget this one - in Seri Petaling, there's a really nice steamboat restaurant. Only clear soup, though...the fishball is translucent before it's cooked and super springy....yum yum..
For those who loves this dish "ham yu fa lam po" or Claypot Pork Belly with Salted Fish, my favourite is the one they serve at Overseas restaurant.

for those in KL, there is a really nice dim sum shop in Taman Connaught....opposite site from the foochow fishball shop i think mentioned by alka....
Whole stretch of dim sum "parlour" hahahaha.
The best one is the FAT BOY - 肥老.
Next to Bumiputra Commerce bank.

was reading the thread "recipe 3x" i was thinking it's more appropriate to tell our fav makan stall here instead of there...there we let the expert teach us juniors how to cook la...hehe....talking about food again...my fav...yong tau foo...the best is in Ampang, Foong Foong....
