gosh very long comment, no time to read all but seems there's some misinformation, plus he also forgot, when they put "chicken" in the mcnuggets, it's not just meaty part of the chicken, it's a mince with cartilage etc too... :squeeze:
(or that's what jamie oliver told me in one of his tv programs)

Well, like it or not but most meat products especially the cheap ones use MDM(mechanically deboned meat) meat. So don't expect too much.

I was wondering if McD in bolehland uses the same ingredients or not.I mean they won't manufacture the nuggets in US and ship them here right? Different countries have different regulations so I won't be suprised if they use even lower quality products here to lower the cost. It's all about the money right?
But I'll choose a McD's nugget over a local brand like ayamas, dindings, five star etc anytime. At least you still can see some real meat in the McD nuggets.

i'm not much of a nugget fan actually. patties are for sissy. i want to have REAL meat, and blood red steak are the best!
come to think of it, one of the best burgers i had was a homemade patty (with not so minced patty)

Not the kind with the blood that flows out when you cut into them right? Or would you prefer to carved straight from the cattle? Just kidding.
Burgers are easy to make at home. No meat grinder also can, just chop them by hand.
Cutting a large slab of meat is kinda geli at first cos it feels like you're slicing up someone's leg or torso only. Cut up a 9kg slab of beef brisket last week and I was letting my imagination run wild. Beef is much firmer than other meats like pork and I can imaging it's gonna be really messy to slaughter a cattle.

What would be your MINIMUM cooking percentage - 80 percent? 90 percent?
BTW Jake's Charbroil Steaks (Damansara Heights) punya 80 percent T-Bone Steak still QUITE BLOODY leh!

So long as there's no blood flowing out of my meat I'm ok with it.

well, what i understand, 5-6 mins each side for 1inch steak give medium rare. 7-8 will give medium. temperature i forgot.
well, havent eaten kobe, but they say wagyu more expensive. apparently, instead of beer, they drink wine...and they even specify what type vintage even, and of course, with wine, they listen to classical music...

Confirmed it's a myth. I worked in KFC before.
BTW, it's not something that's added during frying that contribute to the crispiness...i think it's something in the fries itself...anyone can confirm?
You can manage to get your fries (the uncooked ones sold in supermarkets) crispy too if you fry them long enough in oil that's hot enough.

Agree, best to eat there. But sometimes the paper bag helps to absorb the moisture and the fries remain crispy slightly longer, at least still can eat while driving.
Anyone tried replicating those apple pies made by McD? I love those stuff but not the nanana pie cos the flavour very artificial-laa. Pineapple pies also not too bad but I think it's a promotional item right? Now you can add on 2 pies for Rm3. I bought 4 and hantam 3 at one sitting just last week. yum yum!
