Now got too many nieces and nephews liao, so ang pow amount also reduced a lot liao. So being the parent of the eldest grandchild got a lot of advantage one.:p

Nowadays they don't have 1000 notes anymore. A little handy to pack a single 1000 ang-pow now! :D

Yes it is. Both my kids received RM 6 angpow in 3 x RM2 denomination. I've used them all up in Sitiawan, din know it's no longer in circulation until i see this post.

i dunno about biggest angpow, but here is one about the smallest/ wrong ang pow.
some unmentionables honourable parents came to visit me in the uk a few years back shortly after i'd got married. the ang pow they gave me had 30 sen inside. waaaa, so fatt tatt, i thot.:blink: turned out it was the wrong packet which contained the coins for telephoning from the airport for the OJ or F-Clef taxi service, i think.:laugh: nvm, it's the thot that counts!
