How much is the Dopod 838 on M'sia?
Dopod 838 still priced at around RM2888..can get cheaper at Low Yat plaza...
I'm using O2 XDA Stealth..hybrid phone PDA..very good albeit smaller screen than O2 Atom...spec wise roughly the same as all the rest of the genre in the market..lacking 3G though but not a bother.....:amused:

Don't saylah like that.
Certain thing are cheaper in S'pore & certain things are not.
With the current trend of Singapore's Govt policies, GST is making thing in Singapore expensive.
Soon GST here will be 7%. Good & services is getting expensiveHahaha..everything in M'sia seemed more expensive compared to S'pore when you are earning SGD.

When I was working in S'pore, I can afford anything I want. Now, Buy CD and DVD also must go pasar malam. The things in S'pore are relatively cheaper if you earn and spend there. How much does the Chicken Rice cost at the hawker centres now? :)

You see! Where can you find this kind of price in M'sia? Not even in $itiawan!
How much does the moderate PDAs' fetch in Singaland? 600-800?
Dirt cheap right? Even a 'cheekai' plastic-look-like-a-toy Nokia basic phone cost more that 600 in KL.
BTW, don't get me wrong, I am talking about the purchasing power. But we (those earning ringgits) just can't shop in Singaland for 'cheap' stuff right? :(

A PDA phone cost about 600-1100 (for the hiigh end models) in Sg.
Cheap. My wife paid S$18 for Sony Ericsson K610i(3G phone) when she signed up a line. A lot of phone are free here if you don't care about the model.
I must agree with you. For $S70-80, you can get a branded shoes for a 6 months old model.

I am still using my 3 years old O2XDAll. Serving me well even after a 10 minutes dip in flood waters. Some external programmes I have installed are:
1. Avantgo - News / info
2. e-wallet. - Passwords / pin numbers.
3. Conversion - Metric
4. Microsoft reader - e-books.
5. Mort player - MP3 player.
6. Pocket TV.
7. Pocket Bible.
8. Skype
9. Worldmate - World time, currencies coversion, world weather, international phone codes, world clothing / shoes sizes.
10. Mapopolis - maps.
Now thinking of getting a GPS receiver to have GPS system in my pda. Or change to a new pda with qwerty keyboard with GPS.

Dude.. serious, if you wan just a device to go online anywhere anytime (when there is a high speed data network available or if there is wifi) then take a look at the above Nokia E61.
Wonderful full web browser. If only the 3G network here is a little bit more stable. Any other device with 3G, wifi, bluetooth and officesuite will cost almost double here in Malaysia.
Eg.
Nokia E61 - RM1,600
Dopod D810 - RM2,999
SE P990 - RM2,999
Palm 750 - RM2,999
Or somewhere there lar.

Problem is the subscription. Since i hardly call anyone, it does not make sense to pay $80 a month. :(
Most plans comes with both voice and data.

VC.. currently about RM75 + RM120..
Jim.. I am guessing that he meant the OfficeSuite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) which comes with the P990. A lot of Symbian OS devices running OfficeSuite now.
