View Full Version : The Last Minute Rush...

I spend the later half of today testing some stuff and did not check the traffic status until much later.

My goodness... you guys had better stay clear of shopping centres!!!

Those places are jammed packed with cars!! Espcially Mid Valley. The internal road of Mid Valley like one huge car park!! And this is at 2pm in the afternoon.

The last minute rush for Christmas shopping.

here right now, it's even unthinkable to go anywhere after 11am in the morning, even on weekdays!!
it's packed everywhere and the pedestrianised streets are non-movable!!

Yeah you are so right. I am now in China, and here you can see Xmas deco and hear xmas songs in every shopping centre and every street....even more than in S'pore or M'sia. Only there's no snow here, otherwise it will be white christmas in asia.
Darn, i haven't even get the xmas present yet...been too busy the lately.:sad-2:

hi shir *wave wave*

must be cold in china right now too, but yeah, the whole christmas madness thing, gone too far...
my cousins and i are making pact not to buy each other anything...
one, savings since we're all students and second, so we don't get things we don't want...
last but not least, christmas is not about pressies but more of family quality time...
(and since we don't really celebrate christmas, it really IS all about family quality time)

hi Lil...*hug, hug*...*share warmth with each other.
It's almost 0 deg C outside. Afternoon time was just cool and nice as sun was shining.
I had some free time this afternoon, so i tried to get some xmas pressies for my kids, with the help of my China colleague (he brought me jalan-jalan), but no suitable ones. So guess i had to get them from Fajar when i go back S'wan.

Not cheapskate laa...i'm in Wuxi, not a tourist area. So really cannot find any souvenir. All winter clothings only. There's a Parkson here, but little bit toys only...can get same one in M'sia.
I'm really surprised why so many shop selling clothes, so i asked my China sales colleague issit China people like to buy clothes very much, he says yes.
I'm not buying any winter clothes because not suitable for S'pore or M'sia...somemore quality not so good. They call me to stop by in Shanghai on the way back, but too rush...i don't wanna delay my flight, otherwise cannot go back S'wan for xmas.

So boring here...so cold outside. I got this internet access from my room, just plug in the cable connect already. Somemore can claim from company, 24 hrs for 40 rmb...very cheap. I'm also on skype with my son and husband at the same time...my company laptop so lousy one, they can hear me but i cannot hear them.

its not the ample space 1U has but 1U is losing tons and tons of customers. LDP used to be jammed with shoppers going to 1U but now the jam is further down with shoppers going to the Curve.

Hi just touched down S'pore this morning.
Woi, who says i cannot speak mandarin? I cannot read only laa...:p
Surprisingly Shanghai and Wuxi people speak standard Mandarin, quite easy to understand. Beijing mandarin more difficult...they speak like bullet train.
Furthermore Seagate is an american company, so the China engineers there know all technical terms in English. And the engineer i work is from s'pore too, we fly in together to china....
