I have experienced that home problem. 100% caused by TMNet's Streamyx poor and lousy quality. You need to reboot your modem a few times and the problem will fix itself. Don't bother to ask the Streamyx hotline la.....

Starbucks wan.... cannot comment becuase dun have the privilege to lim kopi and surf at the same time :(:crying:

Kenot be modem or Streamyx problem, because got another notebook, connected to the same modem/router.... works flawlessly.

furthermore, on the problem notebook, the yahoo messenger and skype works.

and u're saying that the notebook's IE works 10% at home at certain sites oni? or on all sites... it could be the DNS routing not done properly

yahoo and skype connect thru other ports, but i am not sure whether connecting to different ports could be the problem

I am not sure of the settings, but have you tried using a cable to connect and see if it works at home?

Since i never deal with TMNet broadband before, i would say that the router may be a problem.

One solution, go change the channels on the router to a different one.
There's only 11 channels, go thru all of them and see how that works.
