As we all notice, we have already had 2 Malaysian Idol Seasons and perhaps 4 Akademi Fantasias and maybe at least 2 "Jue Dui Superstars" over 8TV as well as numerous Wah Lai Toi's Astro Talent Quests.........

Anyone wanna comment on what good and bad can they offer?

the operative word being try. however they try, they still wan to come across as a nice guy. how to be bad boy like simon leh?

somemore, all the "talents" are not really talents that can sell records....

Lotsa falsetto mah!!! BTW I had a gig early this month for the Buena Vista International/Tristar Malaysia 10th anniversary featuring Vic Teo (3rd place winner of MI 2004 behind Jac and Dina) who sang "Stand By Me" - that one mebbe I can say a better singer than Daniel...........but both of them a bit Gareth Gates leh!

Malaysian winners not popular don't mean that they have no talent...just that they don't have much chance to get professional training and exposure. American idol are not that much better anyway, only that a lot of asian/ malaysian feels that the grass is greener over there and idolise and support them tremendously. Unfortunately Asian idols never get any angmoh's support.:(

Hey anson, on Australian idol there was a guy who was a very good ( I thought so) his name is Bobby Flynn.. you can go and download on limewire his version of super freak ... if you compare to the original, his arrangment was even better!..he used that song in the disco genre and slowed it down with a jazzy bossa feel ...he is one of the most talented I've seen. He doesn't just kareoke a song, which most idol contestent do worldwide ..he re-interprets/re-arranges .. which is a skill only a handful of ppl have.

which is why i believe musical talent is not as regarded as singing talent..:sus:

I personally feel these reality shows idols are not genuinely the best. Maybe up to the finalists the judgement are ok.After that all determined by viewers vote. Who got more supporters who sms in, who will win.
