Basically it happened to me almost every year around this period of time.
Christmas is jsut around the corner. Christmas = presents......
Each year, I had to crack my head to think what to buy for the my home minister and my little rascals ....
This is what I bought for them last year..
Home Minister - Beautiful by Estee Lauder
Elder Little Rascal - Gundam - 1/60 Scale
Young Little Rascal - One Jeans and One T Shirt :p
So this year.....
My home minister hinting she wants a platinum chain and pendant...
My elder rascal is requesting for a PS 3 .....
and finally, my younger rascal....
just look at me and blink blink....
Haven;t make up my mind and I will update when I finally decided what to get for them....
Hmmmmm........ hopefully I can get my 13th Month Bonus soon....
heheheee........
What about you all, ladies and gentleman......
Already start cracking the head or wait till the last minute rush????
And not forgetting my senior home minister...
Normally an ang pow will do....

Sam-Fossil Watch with 3 interchangable leather straps
Julie- hand made Earrings
Mandy-oven toaster(waiting for sales first)
my housemates, we're all putting in $20 each to buy a new vacuum cleaner instead of buying presents.
the rest probably nice inexpensive pressies i suppose:cheesy:

Altho most of my extended family and I are Christians and do celebrate Christmas.. I haven't bought anything for anyone for easily 10 years.. it's an agreement between everyone.. too difficult.. we got 6 families, and 12 cousins.. and 2 cousin-in-laws and several girlfriends and 2 nieces... (almost all of the cousins are guys)..we just have a great big makan party on the eve.. starting from 3pm till past midnight.. each time i think of the amount of food.. i get the shivers...

Your boy see them playing gameboy, he also want? Don't go put the blame on me horr:worried:
Yeah, i got the gameboys for them from Skudai, paid a bit too much for them. If you want to get one, i'll suggest you to go to Sentosa shopping centre, the stall near 'The Store' entrance, . You may get it much cheaper there. Now when i want to get the pirate gameboy cartridges, i'll travel all the way up there. They sell one normal cartridge for RM 20-25, whereas the other shopping centres sell the same one for RM 49.90-59.90. And according to the man, all are the same cause Malaysia doesn't sell any original one.

you think so? Was thinking about A'Famosa. Rent a bungalow so that we won't be surrounded by other holiday goers. Sounds good?
yeah, i do think it's good to get away...
it'll somewhat shield the pain than staying home...
and be reminded of everything at once...
somewhere quiet-ish is a nice idea...
just time for family to be together and with each other...
afterall, that's really what times like this is for...
to spend with the people that we care and we love...
not the crazeeeees on presents and fat turkeys...

hubby n me have ceased to xchange christmas prezzies..too much hassle...afterwards dunno what the other half really wants..now we're happier buying a more expensive gift 4 ourselves...more ser terk (chinese) since there's an occassion with reason for more 'extravagant' expenditure(must watch over home finances mah.. )...
we onli get some nice gifts n wrap 'em up prettily 4 our 3 princesses n of course not forgetting my mum n dad n bro too..n his mom n dad,sis n my lil nephew n some other close family frens...;)
we personally feel christmas is more of a time of giving n sharing(we also host our annual christmas eve dinner n invite some frens over to share it wif us...after that we'll attend the christmas eve mass)..so the concerntration is more on others than ourselves...what do u guys think? Are we a weird couple or what?

Second of December, 2006.
Finished my first task ... hehehee....
Hunting a gift for my home minister...
The gifts for the little rascals are easier to find....
Had a tough time......
It is funny, its seems so easy when you ask others to buy whatever they want.....
I had it too, my home minister said she has no preference......
As long as it is a gift.....
The headache starts.........
Finally, after so much of head spining , finally got this for my home minister...
Came in nice packing too...
hehehehehee..........

To wife or close ones no lah...just don't give it as a housewarming gift unless the owner request for it. BTW, my husband's close childhood friend gave us a cuckoo clock for my new house.
I think the pantang is more observed by cantonese, hock chew and hokkien people less pantang one.
