what would you consider worse? cheating physically or emotionally?
actually, correction, regardless of the type, cheating is still CHEATING! both are bad Bad BAD! :mad:

I think there is no such think as which is worse as it depends on the individual. Some would say physically is worse... as compare to emotion... others would think that emotion is worse as it torn someone heart out by just knowing the person had emotional attached even there is no physical link...

I feel is that with physical it really torment the emotion of out a person as compare to cheating with emotion. as it had no physical touch to it. (like in the movie "indecent proposal") :cool:

Let see what other feel... esp.the gals....

Cheating emotionally is always a precursor to cheating physically. There will be no action if there is no desire first. Unfortunately, it's not easy to control desires and inner thoughts and secrets but it's not impossible.

Whether you're in a relationship or you're married, you will always be bombarded with desire once in a while coz we are human after all. There's no point feeling guilty about that. What matter's is what you do after you have that feeling. You may not control the situation but you can decide how you respond to the situation.

My view is that cheating physically is bad because you have crossed the line with an inappropriate response.

my vote goes to physical cheating. as rogue says, you cannot turn back after you've cheated physically. if only emotionally, you can still pretend that it did not happen :)

yea..my thoughts, exactly. to be able to cheat physically, <for gals, guys i'm not sure> guess, you've gotta have emotional link with the person already. so when u cheat physically, you would have already cheated emotionally...aye?

i may be the only awkward one out but i personally feel that cheating emotional is the worst kind of cheat it can be. i know people who sleeps around with other women just for the sake of physical pleasure but at the end, he still loves his wife the most. where as if you cheat emotionally, it only means you don't love your wife or husband anymore. girls and guys can argue till the cows come home on this. that is why they say man are from mars and women are from venus.

For man..sex can just be an act with no emotional feelings being attached to it.
Its just an act and nothing more. But women see's it differently. Just because i am humping someone doesn't mean i love that person.

not condoning the act but i would agree to Dino on this. not encouraging anyone to do it but it is possible that you are humping someone you don't love e.g. people go to prostitutes...........but it is not possible to cheat emotionally if you do not develop feelings for the other person. true or not??????????? i think i make sense here.

Well, there are definitely two types of guys in this world.....:D

Emotional vs physical....which is the lesser of 2 evils.....

I am more incline towards daBoss views as no one will know the emotional part except yourself unless of course you let the other person know whereas for the physical part...it would be easier for the other person to find out...

But whaf if both is make known to your better half...which is WORST....
Generally for women, I think the emotional aspect is worst whereas for men the physical aspect is worst....assuming one has to choose one over the other...but in most cases these two would come hand in hand, so I guess the impact is then compounded...

That's absolutely true for guys, I believe. I think the categories of cheating is something like this:

Have a mistress = emotional and physical cheating
Strong liking or desire or love for another = emotional cheating
Prostitute or one night stand = physical cheating only

If I have to rank which is worse, it'll be in the above order :D But whichever happens, the trust would be destroyed for good...It will be a long process to build it up again if one can ever find it in his/her heart to forgive. So advice to all (esp. Boss ;) ) is...don't even go anywhere near it.

it is every human's right to choose - be it the right or wrong choices. and the history of mankind has been plagued with circumstances of wrong decisions. everyone sets out to do good but in some point in life - they will do the opposite. you think this statement is harsh? then my question is how many times have we told a lie... small it may be, it reflects back to the fundamental flaw in human beings of making wrong choices. what makes one think that we can stop now?

cheating is bad. period. we all set out not to do it. a noble effort. afterall effort is better than no effort at all. but once we fall, it's not a matter of whether which is bad and which is not so detrimental. it's like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea. all forms of excuses at this point, in my personal opinion, is just a lame method of self justification. don't u think?

wedding vows? how many promises have we broken in our lifetime?

Back to the topic...I would say I'd try my best to keep the wedding vow...but like song said, you can never be 100% sure. Of course it'll break my heart if boss strays in such circumstances...but I really can't judge him if I've not been thru it myself...

I'm sure everyone hopes that their love is strong enough to prevail in such difficult times...
