thanks you guys - i'll try to keep posting a few pics at night, but it's been a really fun trip! after breakfast today we head out again!

athena - route 66 was i believe the 1st road to cross the US from east to west coast - now it is a defunct road but pieces of it has been preserved in the Southwest US ni (new mexico, arizona, etc.). there's a line from a song "get our kicks from route 66" but now i can't remember who sang it or anymore of the song!

jc - gua tak tengok Cars lah.. so i dunno if they drove on route 66 or not.. :o

vc - my parents are doing pretty well! even my mum is walking around and seeing all the sights and doing ok. my dad is in great shape! :)

Route 66 links LA to Chicago and and of the last major roads before those great highways replaced the old federal roads. Supposedly scenic and passes through many old towns. This is what i remember the people who lived in Williams who told me about the story.

after El Morro, we drove on to Acoma Sky City, a 1000 year old still-lived in pueblo on top of a mesa, hundreds of feet above. this was my mother's favorite place of the whole trip.
