Chartered in Singapore is doing very badly...making losses every year! There was one time in the news that they wanted to close down operations in Singapore because of taiwan's top 2 wafer fab companies...

Yeah, Taiwan got the 2 biggest foundries, followed by Chartered in S'pore, SMIC in China and so forth. Silterra is top 10, no 9 i think...
Malaysia have another foundry in Sarawak called 1st Silicon....
