Bruce Lee
The Man and Martial Arts Legend
Bruce Lee is one of the most recognized icons in entertainment history. His charisma, personality and action films have made him a legend. Among martial artists, he is a god. Bruce Lee was known to be a martial artist's martial artist. His street tough background and acting experiences as a child helped him become a movie star icon around the globe.

Bruce Lee was born on November 27 1940 in San Francisco. He was born a Scorpio according to the western horoscope and born in the year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar. He was also born on the hour of the Dragon.
Almost a year prior, Bruce Lee's parents had lost a son during pregnancy, so this time to confuse the evil spirits, they decided to give Bruce Lee a girl's nickname "Little Phoenix". He was also enrolled in a girl's primary school, although we do not know if this was for the same reason. In Hong Kong the family lived at 218 Nathan Road, Kowloon. Eighteen years later, Bruce Lee would return to the United States, enrolling in the University of Washington as a Philosophy Major. Here he would meet his future wife, and begin teaching the martial arts. He would also pursue his dream of becoming a movie star and continue developing his martial arts. His martial art philosophy would later become known as Jeet Kune Do.

With many attempts to break into Hollywood, Bruce Lee would get a chance at a television show. He would become Cato on the Green Hornet. In Asia, the show would be called, the Cato Show. Bruce Lee would later help develop a show called "Kung Fu" which would become wildly popular. He would not be given the lead row. Frustrated and angry, Bruce Lee would return to Hong Kong to make movies. Several films later, he would make his Hollywood debut with Enter The Dragon. It would be a box office success. Before the debut of the Movie, Bruce Lee would be found dead.

Anyone here also fan of Bruce Lee? I remember watching most of his movies when I was still a small kid. My dad used to bring us to the cinema in Sitiawan those days.
My favourite is still Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris in Coloseo. :)

Bruce Lee is my all time favourite Kung Fu hero. Some say he died of heart attack, some say oversex-ed, some even believe he is still alive somewhere. Whatever it is, Lee Hsiao Lung will always be remembered as The Great Kung Fu Master. :)

OK Alka, who is Harry Lee?
How he died, I think, is irrespective to his success as an actor and martial artist.

Dino, do seek up www.findagrave.com and type his name - and you shall discover that his son, Brandon (accidentally shot himself 20 years after Bruce Lee passed on) was interred side by side.

Bruce Lee shows that a skinny fella also can fight real well. Samo Hung shows that a fat fella also can do just as well besides sitting on you and tickling you to death.

Kochun, shall I call u Bruce Goh? he he he just joking........ Anyway, did u see his other ducumentary films where he displayed his one-inch-punch? Push up with 3 fingers? His training methods requires one to push to the limit everyday.
He could also kick with precision & with power up to 10 feet high. I guess that explains why Bruce & Big Chief walk "one-kind".

i agree wif Big Chief.. go watch the first one, The Big Boss.
At one stage (at the lumber mill) rumour has it, the fight scene was real. The "bad guys" were kinda pissed off with BL's cocky attitude and decided to really beat him up.. well.. rumour..
And you also have to watch Enter the Dragon..
Oh yah.. Big Boss is known as Fist of Fury in the US..
do take note that these shows were filmed in the 70s.. so don't expect Matrix moves and FXs..
