Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.
It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye.
This will cultimate on Aug. 27, 2006 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth.
Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27, 2006 at 12:30 am.
It will look like the earth has 2 moons.
The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.
Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again.
 True or not ?
I've been getting a lot of emails on this...
No idea if it's gonna happen or not...
Anyway, good excuse for another forum get together-gether.... ;)

Star chart program tells that mars and moon is under our feet (other side of earth cannot be view from malaysia.) on that date. and Google say it is a hoax. Remember we saw it in some other year (2003?) or months ago?
This is a moon pic taken on the 16th that is hungry ghost month.

Cheh ! it a hoax !
See what snopes.com (http://www.snopes.com/science/mars.asp) says:
Q: What's the truth?
A: Mars gets close to Earth every two years. So, last year (2005), Mars was very close. Three years ago, it was spectacularly close ... And right now, I'm sad to say, Mars is actually behind the Sun; we can't see it at all.
Q: How wide spread is this falsehood?
A: People get excited about it, start to send e-mail ... and every August we see this e-mail coming back and I get a lot of e-mails about it, of course.
