Hi Ah Thye,

Very good to hear from you. Well, this thing seems to appeal more than just the normal e-mail. Hmm, 10 mths old baby...enjoy while you can, once they start talking and walking, they are a totally different type of devil altogether....but saying all this, there are still our bundle of joy.....yeap, you got it...classiest..... :)

Hi june,

Nice to hear from you. Tell me about it. I have 2 boys as well, age 2 and 5 yrs old. Hey, the terror will become worst when the second one reaches the terrible two stage (like mine now). And there is no on/off button on them. The only rest time would be when they are asleep, in which you will also be to recuperate from the physical and mental exhaustion....plus no quality time between you and your spouse.....

Dear TT, Nice to know that your daughter is walking. You will be very busy very soon as you need to keep your eyes on her. As to Indian Food, don't worry, I have decent food here but not as good as the one in Kg Attap. You take care.

June, Hi! How are you? What are you doing in the States? Keep in touch.

CM, Hi! Don't know if you still remember me. Regards to you. Have a nice holiday.

TT, you don't really want them to walk at such an early age......it spells 'Trouble'....mine 3 years old started walking at 91/2 months and the next thing I know he is all over the places and up the cabinet as well ......very exhausting.

VC, I guess you didn't know, my husband is a Chinese(Taiwanese) American. We met when he was working in M'sia and now that his contract in M'sia is over he has to come back to USA. I'm a full time 'home engineer'....sounds better.....hey, it's a tough job OK! It's a 24/7 job and over here you don't get the maids to help up.

I can totally relate to how you feel. You're lucky you don't hv to face them 24/7. Frankly speaking it is a tough job taking care of the kids at least you guys can get a maid to help up. I actually send my 3 years old to school (they have a lot of program for preschoolers) when he is about 18 months old, just so that I can have my own few hours of peaceful time. You can't imagine what he'll be up to.....he is a hyper active child. I'm praying that my 2nd son will be more mellow.

June,

24x7. wow, that is definitely very tough.....My weekends are at times more stressful than my weekdays. You know, both Anne and myself do stress each other out becoz of the kids. Really, can't wait for boh of them to grow up so that we can resume our "quality" life again. But saying all these, kids are really the joy of our lives. Can't imagine how our lives would be without them.

As you your second son, chances of him being more mellow is quite low. Normally the second kid will actually be more aggresive than the first one becoz he has to fight for your attention as well as more to prove with regards to his existence, so what you get is a more independent child....all the best... :D

I met Khaw TT 's wife last Friday. She said that we are busy posting in the forum. I told her to joint in. Maybe they are to busy taking care of their baby or maybe too busy making their next baby.

Well, I have e-mail a few person more but no result.

Welcome onboard...
I don't really remember you well but I guess that is mostly due to the fact that 1987 was 17 yrs ago......How time flies...Anyway, good to have you in the forum. Remember that you can always start a new thread to discuss on whatever topic....

Hmm. child behavioural...interesting subject...
OK, since it is free...I have a Q for u...

How do you respond to a 2 year old boy who constantly bully his elder brother (5 yrs old) but will cry the moment the elder brother retaliate.....

hi,

i will try to answer u but whether is work or not i can't guarantee. normally when a child always bully another child there is always a reason. sometimes they need attention. first u need to find out the reason and explain to her why she can't do that. She cry because u always give in to her rite? that is their way to win the parent heart. i need to know in wht situation she always bully the bro and what kind of action she behave. hope to find out more. interesting rite?

To facilitate production, feed stock must be there. It is not easy I know. Take it easy.

I have actually involved myself in some child development programs for my son. I was just joking with you Jacinta. I can see some result after a while. It is very effective.

The topic I am particular interested in is reading, maths, physical development (exercise programs) & interaction with music. All this program is for baby above 6 months old. i learned through seminars, books & DVD. It is very interesting. A lot of hard work is required to train a child. You must have the love toward them. You can send me a PM is you need more detail about what I am involved in.

All the best to you.

hi,

i think u program is for infant care. My course is from infant to 7 yrs olds. i like music and movement subject too. We have quite a number of theory to follow but don't really bore lah. i am thinking of taking the leadership in early childhoon more on management the child care center. My previous course already cove the intellectual, physical , social and emotional of the child. Thks for u infro. How is u child? very active? last two week my family came to visit me and my sis child hyperactive really make me headache. so u much have a lot of hard work.(smile) never mind lah' biat dulu baru ada manis rite? enj u study and DVD ha...

My son is going to be 22 months soon. He can read certain words which have thought him & sing along with us. It is alot of hard work but my wife & me is happy with the progress. He can also cycle on his own. I learn a lot of other things when I am teaching him. It can be fun too.

Please continue posting as more people would like to read your posting.

Jacinta, u r absolutely right. My second son (Mark) bullies his brother (Matthew) becoz he wants attention. We have 2 options. Either we ask Matthew to give in, which would be totally unfair to Matthew and will encourage Mark to repeat his actions or we scold Mark in which he would then start cying...So, in most cases, to avoid having the noise pollution, we choose the former, unfortunately.

I realise that Mark, being the second child is definitely more competitive in nature as he has to compete with Matthew for our attention whereas Matthew had it easy when he was younger...

SongCM - You had contributed lots of ideas & effort in school activities. We still remember your contributions as the seniors do talk about the juniors sometimes.

How is u kids? i hope u manage to control them better(smile). Well, don't always ask you Mathew to give in cos it will cause his being unfair and create a bad relationship with his brother. As for u younger son try to explain to him and give a lot of praises when he follow u instruction. Child at his age always being very self center cos everything is belong to them.
