i just gauge the amount of coconut milk - i used about a cup of coconut milk for 3 small cups of rice, and you still need to add water up to the level that you usually cook rice with. add some salt too.

If you serious, plan on late Jan or early February in 2008. Best time of the year to go. Weather is good and crowds are low and its the cheapest time of the year to go. Furthermore, we all can share the cost of renting a house/condo/car so can bring costs down!!! :)

hehe...a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do - even if it means owning more than 20 pairs. honestly, i've lost count of the number of pairs i own. around 30 maybe....:cool: just got back from a church's Christmas Musical. It was awesome! Very professional and wonderful props - so very real - like a West End musical! there were different components - jazz, carols, ballet, rock n roll, ballads, a high school marching band...lol. then we visited a farm that had christmas lights set up around the farm with a "Walk Thru' the Bible" theme. Got to see some farm animals too. I just love Christmas!

I use white onions instead of red....can ah? Maybe US onions more water, thats why it has more water and i use only breast meat. But it taste very,very good!! :)

I wish.........there are 12 hours a day, so that working hours can be reduced to 4 hours a day

I wish........ there are 48 hours a day, so that I can play all day.

I wish......... there are 4 days to a week, so that I have to only go to office for 2 days

I wish...... there are 14 days to a week, so that I can have a 4 days weekend.

High fever and he still went to work for a couple of hours on Thursday. After I got the fever down that night, he started throwing up. He went in the bathroom to throw up so I went to get tissues for him and heard a thump. He was passed out for a few minutes. Threw up a few more times and had problems breathing so I took him to the ER. :worried: It's scary how a common cold can progress to pneumonia! I still don't know how that happened! Need your thoughts Dr. Ho!

You are right crys1s. it is not common to get such severe pneumonia from a common cold in a young and fit person. Could it be something more serious than just a common cold, eg the influenza virus, SARS (just examples only) or could his immune system be compromised?

TKHo - how long do you think it'll take him to fully recover? we're trying to place his grandmother in a nursing home and get his mom back in her own apt, so that he won't have to deal with them anymore, but I'm only going to be here til Sunday, Jan. 7, to help out. Don't really know what's going to happen after that. We don't even know how long he'll be in the hospital...:worried:

He coughs and gasps for air when he talks. anyway, he's been calling me several times a day for about 30-60 secs at a time, to let me know how he is doing. i'm doing what i can - will get in touch with the Dept of Social Services to see if they can help place his granny in a home immediately, once I've discussed it with him.

Thanks, everyone! He is getting a little better and the doctors said he could come home soon. Still don't know when...they also said there was a bacterial attack on his lungs. He's still on antibiotics and has low-grade fevers. I just hope he will be able to come home before I leave.

hey everyone! I'm back in Cincinnati and in the full swing of classes, work and everything else. There is a Research Methods proficiency exam at the end of this term, which I mistakenly thought was to be at the end of the 3rd term! :eek: oh well! Brian was discharged from the hospital last Thursday but he still has coughing fits and trouble breathing. This morning he told me his right lung (the one that collapsed) hurts when he breathes. I'll have to get more info - was in classes all day. Phew! I'm exhausted and a little behind in reading. Hope everyone else is fine!
