eh adele ni...sigh pulak! u so lucky dapat travel wei....and me so lucky get to go HOME for deepavali...and raya break 1wk :D

but got crisis...have to redo all 3 portfolios, was feeling a bit low this evening...but my whole grp kena buat massive pembetulan. and my schedule is like super crazy beezy....hahaha, but good thing is i'd be busy to not allow my mind to wander around. not so good is if i dun finish soon...i cant enjoy my hols!

anyway...my aim is to maximize time wif family and frenz...so guys, siapa2 yang in S'wan....do lemme know of any gatherings ya. will try to meet up...in between portfolioing and deepavalying ;)

but somehow, thank god i'm managing it well...and still able to :)
guess its the thought of going home...and looking at things in the sense that i'm glad i have things to keep me occupied...

bohohooo... :crying: wish i can go back s'wan but i'll only be going home to an empty house cuz my parents going off for a long holiday. so im stuck in kl 'babysitting' my sis & bro, not dat they need me to take care cuz they're both uni kids, but u know how parents worry bout d younger ones whether they're 12 or 21 yrs old. cheh!

i can just imagine d many gatherings n yumcha sessions planned for this coming deeparaya hols in s'wan, all of wch im so gonna miss! i can just imagine...

u guys + gals are gonna hv so much fun playing illegal fireworks, visiting various open houses, chatting with frens till dawn, pig out on cookies & cakes, collect lotsa duit raya, etc etc.

oh dearie me, life is sooo unfair...

wat d heck am i gonna do in kl anyway? sure d roads will be clear but im supposed to be home studying for my exams in nov. sure there'll be frens sticking around town to lepak but my conscience will kill me if i go out too much. :(

now why is there this annoying voice in my head telling me to stop ranting n go back to work. hmm... okok... yeah i know... watever. :cheesy:

if we dwell on it kan...things will seem even worse than they actually are. so...take heart, look at it in a +ve light k; like...kl will be pretty 'kosong' and u have all the time wif siblings...so max it! go picnic somewer k...dont end up as the cranky babysitter ya :p

and hmm..maybe take the time for some introspection. and STUDY a lil la :P

how long ur hols? u working on mon & thurs raya wk (wiceva day not raya one rite?)

I have a couple of tickets for The Sound of Music Sing-a-long for tonight's (8pm) show at KLPAC which i unfortunately can't attend due to unavoidable circumstances.

My friend who's suppose to go with me can't find a date to replace me and i feel really bad 'coz it was my idea to go for this and it's actually my b'day present.

So, i'm hoping that if anyone in the forum or anyone in the forum who knows anyone outside the forum would like to purchase these tickets at about 9+% disc at RM80 (original RM87) from us.

The reason i'm asking is not really about the ticket money that's going to waste it's more of i'm really upset that i've to miss this and i have really good seats (nothing less than perfect for the princess) so i feel that i shouldn't let the tickets go to waste for such a good deal.

It's a good show, my tickets are bought for good seats and it's a pair of tix so find your best company!!

Since i'm so busy and might not be able to forum, don't PM me, call me at *******(please pm Adele for her contact no.). I'll make the ticket delivery to you somehow. Much thanks!

well well...changes that's happened since last conversation is JEN LIN's BIG DAY is over...and she's no more Ms Ek ;) Mrs somebody dee liao...

as for me, been great spending time @ home...had some forummers over on deep day, ChrisC, Kochun & Mrs, TWei...while Shirlene & hubby dropped by yest, met up wif LiPing yest oso...and today one geng of 99ers came over for a belated deep gathering :D - Buvana, MayWinn, Yong King, TaiLoong, Jumbo, & Kacang...we were full of nonsense, and laughed so much...aiyo, still tickled when i think of the few hours la

and spending time wif family...having cousin sis & family here is great!

slack thing is i have yet to start work on portfolios...:( *bad gal, lav...bad gal!!* i need a slap!!

There's a thread in Underground on Jen Lin's wedding. I think she posted some pics there.

All I can say was that they had a really good band playing at the wedding. Really good saxophone player...

They use Parkroyal alot for these stock sale things, dont they?

The last time I was at Parkroyal they had this fashion sale. Lots of stuff for ladies but there were Raoul shirts at about RM100 each which are pretty good value.

raoul shirts are usually about SG$99 - SG$300 depending.. (approx RM220 - RM650).. so RM100 is dem cheap..

i heard that in KLCC Raoul shirts are going for RM389 for a normal one (normal ones in Sg are SG$129 or RM285)

SG$129 for a standard Raoul shirt is pretty decent if you earn SG dollar.

I'm seriously considering a job in Singapore now :D

Sieh Jin, there are still bargains around if you want to get nice i.e. branded stuff. There is always a warehouse/clearance sale occasionally where there's big discounts and the stuff there are not really out of fashion or anything.

I just thought to let know what my doctor told me recently. I don't think she was lying and neither am I, so please pass this on to your friends. Her clinic is in SS2, Petaling Jaya and you know how congested that place is.

One morning a few months ago in broad daylight, a girl was getting into her car when a few men approached her with what looked like a torchlight. Quite harmless looking. They pressed the "torchlight" into her back and immediately she went limp and very pale. So she wouldn't be able to fight back, they slashed her thigh with a parang and sped away in her car.

There were many people around and they quickly took her to the
nearest clinic which was my doctor's clinic. There were two doctors at that time and they managed to stitch up her wound but the girl remained pulse-less and still pale as paper. No pulse, no BP (blood pressure). Just like dead.

My doctors were confused as to how one wound on the thigh made the girl almost like dead? They managed to revive her and save her life. After some checking around, the doctors found out what actually happened was that the girl was made unconscious not by a torchlight but actually a high voltage weapon. I forgot how many watts she mentioned. 1000? Anyway, it was high enough to kill a person by electrocution.

It seems this weapon is from China . It's not rampant yet in Malaysia but with this thing, a person can rob, rape, kill, kidnap, and practically do anything to you. My doctor said that if the girl weren't taken to the clinic immediately she would have died because there was no pulse on her.

So please just beware of your surroundings, if anybody is lurking
around with a torchlight-thingy and approaches you, just scream or run away. Better to be embarrassed than ZAPPED and fried, right?

the world aint safe nemore...jus yest nite my friend's car got broken into in hospital compound!! during on-call time at nite...:eek:

someone mus have noticed her keeping her bag in the booth, as this fellow had used something to open main door, and opened booth, conveniently taken away her bag, wic had wallet etc...and slammed the booth back. the one flaw he made was to have left the main car door unlocked. so my fren became very wary when she saw that (she's a very meticulous person by nature), was shaken...immed called her housemate, and i terbump into a grp of them in front of their house (we live in same row)...inspecting the car. it was 10.45pm then. (erm...we left hosp on-call earlier :p) they were jus going to make a police report...

called her at 12am today to find out wat happened...she was scared. ya lor...i was thinking could have been worse, wat if s1 actually came up wif a knife & peras ugut??
or....now tat they have her house key etc, wat if they happen to know her hse & break-in?

so...they had changed the locks last nite itself, all the other relevant stuffs (ic, driving license) being worked on...atm her dad withdrew & left account empty dee.

poor thing...so now, she requested me to teman her when go back at nite (since we wardmates), and she was like u cycling sumore so dangerous. hah...true true, jus coz used to something doesnt mean we r spared the occasional unlucky day.
see how la...jus tat sometimes rite, cant depend on ppl much. had tat in wk1 itself, coz when sudd ppl have change of plan etc...i have to still fend on my own. haha...jus like today, but tonite i oso memang lazy go ward...need nice rest!

living in bigger cities is like that. when cost of living rises, more and more people become greedy, lost faith in God, punishments are not severe, the people are not well brought up etc etc...this is what we get.

My family has moved to Perlis and the houses there do not even need grills. The first day I arrived there I was shocked myself! I was paranoid the whole Raya holiday there. But my parents have parangs under their beds to slaughter any intruders. hahaha... so not so bad ..

there's another baby pic of me which i like... it shows me 'swimming'. apparently i was too heavy for my weak little arms and legs to lift up my body to crawl, so instead i would 'swim' around on the floor, sliding on my stomach. =)

The last time I was in the sea, I got cuts all over my hands and fingers... one just under the nail of my thumb :sus:

But then again, I enjoy either the sea or the pool.

But really, the sea underwater is really another world :D No regrets. I'm thinking of picking up underwater photography despite the costs... everytime no picture to bring home :(

I love anything to do with H20 - swimming, canoeing, jet skis, ships, beaches, sand, breeze etc etc... so nice.... So far I have been lucky. Never got stung by jellyfish. I have seen my friends stung by jellyfish during sea rescue training. One of them was this Loi Siew Hooi guy... the jellyfish lilit his thigh!! :eek: It turned redish and he was shouting like hell!!

But it is really far to get to the nearest beach near KL!!! Argghhh!! So frustrating. I want a bungalow by the sea!!

dunno how im gonna squeeze in time to finish all my assignements (portfolios for surg posting) & my R.AGE article. but promise is a promise...i need luck (and discipline) hehehe...ut i know i'd be a happier person rathr than spend lonely wknd in Batu pahat lo..

oh my gosh, !! i went and watch Dhoom 2 yesterday.. arewahhhh .. fantastic.. my cousin fell in love with Hrithik, but i still loyal to John and maintain that John looks good as well,

although my air liur meleleh when i saw hrithik :o so hot, his body i tell you, the starting song when he was dancing to Dhoom Again.. hai.. i almost died, my heart stopped, fantastic dancer, fab body.. i can go on n on.. Aish looked really good as well.. sighh .. i'm in love.:o

i tot wanna go back s'wan for xmas but yest mum called outta d blue n said d family going to cameron highlands. so there's no reason for me to go home now n unless i wanna stick around kl being lonely n miserable, i gotta apply leave asap n haul my ass to puduraya to buy bus ticket to cameron. hmm...

anyway, i spent my weekend decorating my condo kaokao. actually it was my hsemate bugging me to put up d xmas tree n not wait last minute like i always do... hehe... so we korek all those dusty boxes n among a thousand sneezes we happily 'discovered' treasure after treasure like little kids :laugh:

i've forgotten how much decor i accumulated for my xmas tree n it took us alot of debating to decide where to hang what bells/balls/stars/snowflakes/etc.. haha... we really took our xmas tree seriously! :p after we put everything up, we tot might as well string up all those lights all over d curtain railing, then we tot might as well unpack those scented candles i saved for a special event, then we tot might as well put on xmas carols cd i bot last year... b4 we know it, d whole house is done in one nite!

we switched on d colorful lights late at night, light d fancy candles n listen to jingle bells n d 1st noel carols... it all looked so blinkingly beautiful we just sat on d floor n immerse ourselves in d spirit of xmas... :) i've never felt so peaceful n happy for such a long time... wat a great weekend! :D

so, wat are d other '99ers up to for xmas?

boh...i couldnt stop smiling when reading ur account of xmas deco. tatz y u NEED a hsemie lar..else u wouldnt have got it done right. now daily can marvel at the deco & feel 'd spirit.
and gal...I LOVE CAROLLING!!!

for me down south here, xmas macam takde sangat la...really felt the spirit in Bkt Jll days, with carollers coming etc. and sban neighbours too...here, summit has their decos up dee. still no plans for the long xmas wkn (3days ni la...but every day OFF is precious for me! hehe)

tot of going malacca this yr, i wanna visit the Portugese settlement, tapi nobody to stay over wif or to take me there la...i would be daring to do it if daytime, nite nite tak nak main main lorrr
