i've asked more than one of my malay colleagues, they went there with families too...all of them answered it's a halal restaurant w/o second thoughts of course they didn't touch those liqour or non halal beverages..hrm i'm not sure whether this is enough to clarify...i hope so... :rolleyes:

There is something great for you. It comes to my mind to have a gathering with friends from Class Ks1, Ks2, Ks3 and Ks4 batch year 1999 (if not mistaken) on this coming 19th August 2006 when Jyess Lim/ Pei Lee and Chong Sian were suggesting for gathering within ACS friends.

This gathering is rather simple as there will be no organizer but every one of us will have to contribute some efforts to bring up a fun filled gathering. Those who are interested and able to attend for the gathering should meet up on 18th August (Friday) in one of our favorite “Lau di fang”. We will discuss about the details such as food, drinks, activities and jobs delegation on that day or either we can do “Pot Luck”.Where as, for the cost for this event, we should pro rate it accordingly based on the head counts. If the number of attendance is few only, then we should have a nice dinner in any restaurant and at the same time, we will still be able to meet the same objective which is "Gathering and share laughter" too.

However, I need a good suggestion on where should we hold this party. I hope there will be a volunteer to offer us a nice place and please let me know before 12th Aug (This Sat). As for the preparation for the party, it should be no problem at all as we can prepare on Saturday. Friends, I hope we can take this opportunity to meet up those friends who are already MIA (Missing in Action) for few years, or just come back from oversea (if any). To All,

At first when i heard the news of Pau Yee Lee, I was a
bit skeptical about its reliability. However what i
have gathered from his ex housemate from his
friendster list is that Pau Yee Lee passed away on the
22nd July, 2006 when he went to redang around
Terengganu to snorkel.

Apparently he has made news on our Berita Harian two
or three weeks past with further information but
unfortunately i cannot find that article online. This
information I have gathered is from Kacang@Hong Jye
and Alven Lee. According to what they say, Pau and his
friends went to Redang for a snorkelling trip and Pau
wanted to go more rounds so he went alone and didn't
come back. I have no information on how he died.

I hope this information doesn't offend anybody coz it
might be a sensitive issue. i'm only giving this out
for those who wants to know more about our dear friend
and how he has passed away.

I have to go now. I hope this incident will remind all
of us to never venture alone especially going into
sea. Take care and God bless.

i called up my uncle in labis to wish him happy bday two days ago, and survey situation if i can travel to labis lar. mana tau, they are lucky enuff that all my relatives stay in shophouses abit highland. till no bread-man or egg man who supplies the stuffs to uncles' shops can come to labis side. and no vege in market oso...my cousin was complaining abt eating maggi mee & tasteless food - hahaha...kids.

makan edi! wahahhaa d unagi was as good as i remembered it. plus i tried new stuff like ostrich meat n snail tepanyaki style.. yummy!! :D got other delicious stuff like chilli crab n steamed cod fish head. me being kiasu pretty much targeted d exotic/expensive food n ignored d usual soba n sushi sets. but i sure stayed away from d raw food like salmon cuz cant stomach it. :p

but my 1st taste of real oysters kinda left an aftertaste in my mouth, somehow i dont like it. :squeeze: it was kinda a surprise, i didnt know dat reservation ppl (us) get a complimentary dish of huge oysters unlike d walk-in ppl cuz d closest u cud get on d buffet display are mussels, no oysters.

sori lar no pix, too excited to go didnt bring digicam. i was d only gal thr so i let d guys (james & colin) catch up while i eye all d goodies to eat. hehe...

I won't be in Sitiawan this CNY and probably will never be for a long time. If the gathering is held there, most likely I wont be able to attend.

I suggest a simple gathering for lunch/dinner and a movie in February. Serene told me she will be back in February. The date? Adele can kaypoh for us :p
