JC was in my sister's batch....the baby-faced cheeky one. ;) Err, not sure who Kochun is, in this forum....could or could not be my piano teacher...but the person you're talking about - he lives in USJ and visits us from time to time (next neighborhood!). I think he has 3 sons? or is it 4? can't remember, last saw them 2 yrs ago.

the kids at the birthday party got a mini monster each to bring home (marble cake inside) and the adults got to eat the base (carrot cake). and yes, we finished the chocs...:laugh: ...made those in CT a couple of weeks before I returned to M'sia.

yeah our christine's really talented in bakery..like her mom. i njoy baking(amateur) too...more to cooking dishes actually..most challenging was cooking for in-laws plus buncha uncles n aunts(15 ppl) at last yrs' chinese ny reunion :wacko: luckilly got their "stamp of approval"..won them over with my signature dish..curry chicken..indian style..

hehe, yeah i know the feeling...all the pressure! :eek: I cooked the christmas lunch/dinner last year for Brian and his family - turkey, and all the side dishes, including lasagna for his granny. phew! luckily i roasted the turkey on christmas eve, as i bought a frozen turkey that was already stuffed...and it took about 6-8 hours instead of the 4 hours on the instructions! If I had done it on Christmas day itself, we would not have eaten until 9pm! And the mashed potatoes came out too sticky instead of fluffy, so i had to re-do them with a new box at the last minute! Boy, was I glad that the turkey did not dry out from being in the oven for so long! :o

i tried baking a few times before. the worst was my flapjack. ok...how could one go wrong on a flapjack! but it turned out really hard and i gave teh whole thing to my hamster. it was bigger than him!!!

it@s almost 6pm here. samples failing analysis, so can't go home yet!! :(
