Next Friday night i'll go back. Already told my boss i'll need to take 2 days off the following week. So this weekend and next week i'll put in more time at work, hopefully get a product out to customer by Friday.
Today I just fired a few of my team members...i already delegated out the work equally, they always dilly dally...always late in the work, so i always ending up have to help them otherwise the whole project get delayed. Today really lost my temper, for the 1st time...taruh that guy properly. Normally i cincai cincai let them manage their own time...now take for granted.

Nuthin much, Kak. It was a pretty standard 'Just Watch and Shut Up, Stupid' kind of observation assignment. Long work hours, luckily only two days.

Goin biking lesson again tomorrow morning. Monday and Tuesday will be having a seminar, and the rest of the week would probably be setting up the new computers that I helped write a proposal paper on and was approved by the company.

So yeah, nuthin interesting happening this past few days....somehow, i think that is OKAY :noworry:

well just in case anyones even remotely interested....i kinda got the technique worked out for the 7 second bridge today...it ashamedly involved me shuffling both my big wide tummy as well as my big fat ass around the bike while navigating the narrow path....believe me, I looked like an elephant tryin to walk a tightrope in a Big Top Circus.....it was very disconcerting......:sick:

- had a great conference although very packed schedule
- felt a bit blah with the long drives from one place to another in US
- then had a wonderful holiday, eat like nobody's business etc

- luckily all restored for this week, so far feeling quite good with myself again...

hee hee thanks sis, apparently i lose points for not making more use of the handbrake during emergency stop phase for Ujian II (what can I say, Im a skidding kinda guy), and not selecting the proper gear for UjiAN III....which kinda perplexed me coz you're only expected to use first gear for test on big bike :blink::blink:. Still.....I AM NOT COMPLAINING.

It was a darkkkk and stormy nightttttt.....

<cough, cough> Well, I woke up at 5:30 this morning, even ahead of my alarm clock, and that hardly happens believe me. Did my business, took a bath, had a Dutch Lady box drink and away I went into the car heading towards Kuala Kubu Bharu.

The test track undoubtedly kept repeating itself in my mind, so much so that I guess I wasnt paying too much attention to the road. Of course the destination was eventually reached, and I'd purposely decided to not grab any bike to eat for fear it might dull the senses (not too mention 4T oil tastes really bad). Soon as I parked the car, saw that the Virago had actually been brought out so i took the initiative to get in a few practice runs. The bridge,......my concern had ALWAYS been the bridge. Its the initial accelleration up the incline that determines whether you can stay your balance for >= 7 seconds. Always......the bridge.

Pick up number time, ....i got #64!! Frack, man. How long iz this gonna take, Im already a nervous wreck as it is!!! And to top it off, I was the only one going for FULL B license. The rest of the testees...well the majority of them anyways, were snot nosed still wet behind the ears teenagers that could pass off as my younger cousins...to make matters worse, one of the older one........looks a lot like my father-in-law!!!!!!! I mean CRIPES MAN, talk about making me nervous this is just plain unfair!@!!!

Well, the #64 finally came up, and the bridge happens to be the second obstacle to clear with the circular 8 being the first.....circular 8 cleared no problem....accellerating the bike to build up the inertia to carry me up the incline and standby photon disruptors........sorry, just fininshed watching a coupla eps of star trek, scratch that photon disruptor part.....ahem, up the incline and across the bridge, I mean....

.....When suddenly I realised soon as the front wheel cleared the incline that I was too much to the right.....Let me tell you that I was already about to kantoi the bridge due to my balance already being off centre and the tyres were like half of its width hanging in mid air.....I was gonna fail the bridge..........

But then, for all of One Quadrillionth of a second, my horny head popped a scream....'I AM GOING TO STAY ON THIS FRACKING BRIDGE IF IT FRACKING HELL"S GONNA KILL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!' ...SO,...


I QUICKLY YANKED THE BLASTED steering LEFT and just as quickly left it on centre, and the bike obliged...i couldnt believe it. Once that happened, I remembered to relaxe and let the inertia carry us both across....final results, 8.1 second on the 7 second bridge. It seems that the bike and me had always been fighting all the times we've been together, today no exception..but strangely...

....after the bridge was cleared, it was like the bike and me suddenly clicked....like it was finally surrendering itself to my will after having broken its resistance all these while.....like a woman finally surrendering herself to a man after persistently peeling of her protective clothings, layer,....by layer,....by layer. <.....if anybody is aroused now, please stop reading>


For the rest of the test, the Virago engine was ....for lack of a better word(s), ...., responsive, attentive........smooth, supple, soft, silky, (....I thot I told you aroused ppl to stop reading?!)

In the end, it finally CAME, to the END. ANd I passed.

I was ecstatic, and rightly so. I almost failed it if I hadnt decided to entertain my stubbornness to NOT have to repeat the test.

So, one last thing to do...I searched out my bike instructor....and shook his hand and thanked for all he'd done. Drove home, sent some mental SMS to work colleagues, called the wife......


Reply came back from colleagues in ofices, informing me congratulations and what not, and that more good news awaiting me when I get to office tomorrow, namely that my increment letter as well as the promotion letter is now waiting for me on the table.

Another week gone, and what a week it was....it will be a nice homestay weekend pretty much cept for the possibility of me gatecrashing VC and SS' family get2gether with my own....we'l see how that turns out.

The bike test on Wednesday was definintely the pinnacle of this week. Countig the days till Wednesday when my new license will be issued.....thereafter, just stay outta my way jose,

the witchking will soon ride,
his bike with all due pride,
the suspension is topped with gas,
cos he's got a really BIG A....

....err, never mind.

It was also a good week for my career. I am now being asked to sit in a number of committees tasked with the IT directions of the company, and I relish the challenge...again, the pay is nothing to talk about, but the fact that you enjoy your friends, get along with the bosses, and laugh along with everyone yoou know.....you cant really put a price on that, you just cant.

As to my 'personal' project, we'll see how that transpires, hopefully fate will be kind to me like it was on Wednesday, and I will be able secure the business and provide for my family the way I used to be able to do.....they deserve that much from me...I find myself these past few days just staring at Iman, at Arwin, and realise that as much as I have my working life to look forward to 5 days a week........I REALLY LIVE LIFE not so much thru my own corporeal being but as an extension to my own fire of existence which is the life sparkling bright thru my two daughters.

No matter what may happen to me in the future, I HAVE THIS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR.

Well, really feel the work now piling up on me. Nobody said a promotion means you can shake a leg, on the contrary.......

Make the best of matters....its still a fun turn of events, the GMD secretary started to replace all my personal id effects to reflect the new designation,... rubber stamps, name cards, security access codes to launch the nuclear warheads.....those kinda things. Some of the guyz apparently dun even know about it yet! but they wished me well once they did.

...just got back from an entrance meeting. demm, so mentally exhausting, think I might catcha nap thru lunch...also determined my boating adventures will begin only next week. Imagine, watching a boat pilot jumping off the pilot boat unto a container vessel, inches away from death by propeller evisceration, coming up close and personal to the hull of a container ship in a tug boat thats about to push a 'Shadow of the Colossus' vessel to berth at Northport's wharf.....I tell you, thrills are few and far inbetween for me nowadays (except for Thursday nights but we're not going into that right now), but these field work next week will make me jump up and down like a kid all over again......

Besok Audit Committee Meeting......two papers. This'll be veryy tricky, my first tabling of a non-IT related audit assignment. No less than an evaluation of Management Decisions pertaining to disciplinary measures, at that. Somebody gimme a GameBoy.

well, not really. BUT I WENT ON A CRUISE THIS MORNING ROUND NORTHPORT and WESTPORT in a pilot boat and witness a pirate boarding a vessel!!...ok thats not true either but i did observe a Northport ship pilot boarding and unboarding a vessel.

Pictures to follow this evening....but for now I have seasickness and gotta HURL ......... scurrsee meeeuuurrrk :sick::sick::sick::sick:

I was close to it (the boat not moving while waiting for the container ship to catch up to us in wavy waters was when I started to feel my stomach making the milk I had this morning turn into butter and cheese and yogurt).....I went out to the edges of the port boundaries into Malaysian waters......the feet is better, taking medication and (for now) watching what I eat, but can still feel the soreness if i try to bend the toes too much in my safety shoes.
