Man, din even set foot in the office today. revisit an audit in the morn, then had a committee meeting in the afternoon. just din feel 'in the zone' today, dunno why even. this weekend hopefully would perk me up. feeling glum and it couldnt be the medication........could it?

well, my department will have three extra auditors come august... internal hires, returnees and a secondment. it will be an interesting time to readjust the environment with these new chaps. the current setup of people are already well at ease with each other, I hope the new inclusions will either keep the status quo or make it more lively......one can hope.

yesterday was a manic grocery shopping day.....i dunno why but since I revisited tesco i find myself thinking that they cost less than the other hypermarts.....:sus:....but then again the Rm130 tesco vouchers might have something to do with it.....still......

what a slow day today....and I wouldnt have it any other way....have more boat trips planned for next week, this time i'll be heading out to the NORTHERN port entrance compared to last weeks southern. And of course more observation on ship berthing and unberthing. As for other work, i am looking forward to see if the new guys are actually going to come in by August.....audit been busy these past few months and with the immediate retirings, it will be most hectic without more hired hands.

Spending the day with the kids today and bathing them is one of the rare occasions one gets to bond with the offsprings. Wife made a delish bfast spread of pulut with rendang tok, "baked beans/potato/eggs/onion fusion" (thats the only way i know how to describe it, recipe handed down by my mom to my wife as a way to 'CONTROL me'...whatever the heck that means so long as i get to eat it idontreallyfrickincare), and steamed ubikayu with sambal ikan bilis....popped four pieces of gout pills soon as i wuz done, swear to GOD.

Issa good slow day........bliss.

Weekend, weekend...looks like managed to get two outta three assignments outta the way......that should leave next week to finish up the sole remaining audit.....I think another outstation trip is in the cards for me next month....would like it to be Penang, but Johor would be cool too......

This week was a depressing one for me if only because of the images that has been printed on the war in Middle East....the pics of children maimed and losing their lives was utterly reprehensible. Its always the child that suffers for the utter insanity of the few in power, they should have been given the chance to actually enjoy being children.....instead of being bombed to kingdom come....I sincerely hope they are all in a better place at a higher plane now.....coz it just sucks to be down here.

Sory to put a damper soo quickly fellas, but it looks like a no go for Aug 31st after all....my brother is getting married Sept 1st and 10th and and my wife's time has JUST been unreservedly booked by my mom for her decorative skills. The house will be used for the wedding' s family 'bertandang' ceremony so there'll be plenty goings on and I wouldnt want to put Noor thru too much preps.

Can we have it after that, say the weekend before fasting (it'll be real close to the forum bday bash too) ie 16th/17th Sept?

Well, here i am in the midst of beginning my SECOND non-IT audit assignment. This time most probably I get to ride the straddle carriers and hopefully not topple over in case the SK driver decides to do a Micheal Schumacher or Freddie Spencer maneouvre that goes horribly wrong.

Thanks Sis. I also made a number of proposals to the new boss today, and he seemed receptive to the idea i put forward rgdg having us subordinate auditors get certified with the Certified Internal Auditor accreditation. Again yes i know it sound boring but it happens to mean a great deal to us 'dun have no frens' auditors to get such a recognition.........:)

End of another week, and a reasonably eventful one it is.....fresh from having a really tenuous audit off my back last week, this one sees me doing a lot of administrative work...tis good if only because I'd managed to put my case to the new boss as to why we needed a certain training, also to schedule a demo by a vendor for an (expensive) Audit Management System......and I got to know I am FINALLY scheduled for a next audit to Kontena Nasional Kuantan after am done with this one at the Container Division. Sees as to how all my outstation audit have been to either Johor or Penang, Kuantan I guess must be a nice change.

However, it does look like I'll be doing a lot more operational audit than my pet fav the IT audit programmes. One has to move on, and progress.....

Dare say Hisham, Sila and Myself are now OUT of a 9 month self imposed zombie mode and our experiment to fast forward time worked flawlessly.....

Broke fast at Secret Recipe....well I actually wanted to do it at Chicken Rice Shoppe but the place was filled to the brim. No regrets tho, for my family indulged themselves in some good food.

What to do the rest of the nite....well, 'Heroes' is on in about 5 minutes time (Rawang onli)...lets see what all the buzz is about....
