It falls on the lunar calendar in the 5th month and 15th day (I hope I am correct). Anyway, just tasted my first homemade dumpling by Crackjet mom on Sunday and had one again this morning. yum! yum! I have 2 more left in the fridge:D !!!

How do you like your dumpling to be? I love the salted egg yolk + mushroom + skinless green beans (dunno what is the name) + fat pork meat = DROOL!!!

oh, my daddy loves this keee-chang!! he eats it with sambal though. our Malaccan sambal different from normal chinese wan and also, he can down it with either wet or dry sambal. amazing!! but this is also unhealthy with the alkaline water content. anyhow, for all your info, dad always buy like 90 - 100+ of these when we go back from this shop behind Tmn Sitiawan. i can't remember what's the Taman there. everyone we offered it to claims it to be yummy. i think you also can get it from the Kg Cina market if i'm not mistaken la.... we always go to the shop at 5am before the lady leaves for the market.

Seeing and doing is 2 different thing-lah. Looks easy but I think the tough part will be filling and wrapping the chang. From what I was told, too tight it will burst when you cook it, too loose and the shape not there and sometimes the filling comes out.

Don't think so-laa, can't imagine it going together with sausages. But a freshly cooked chang that's still steaming is really gonna make me drool. I can imagine digging into it with a spoon and see all the steam coming out, the egg yolk and the mushroom sitting there begging to be eaten. Biting into the hot and soft rice and the taste of the flavours in my mouth..... aaaaaahhhhhhhh I'm hungry liau.:squeeze:
