what a player! what a player! when i was much, much younger, i used to listen to the radio for the latest tennis results. there was once he won 4 consecutive tournaments (if i'm not mistaken). brilliant! but he wasn't at his peak then. still, one of the best. temperamental but a genius nevertheless

McEnroe has a special ability to confuse his opponents as he is a left hander and plays with a continental grip (sorry, a little technical). He's an all rounder who doesn't have to practice as much as most other tennis professionals to produce highest level of play.
