Les, no need to be difficult laaa....
just take your kid's height at the age of 3 and multiply by 2......thats their height at age of 18. - Theory of Approximation.
and if you think the height is too short, make them jump a lot, like playing basketball, etc to stretch them when they are between 10-16 years old.

This would make my daughter 2 m tall when she is 18m. Anyone wants to be talent scout for NBA?

Your son will likely be 2 feet, 5 inches tall at age 18.
This prediction is a "best guess" but it's still just that -- a guess. Based on the formula we used,* there's a 58 percent chance your son's full-grown height will be within 1 inch (above or below) of this prediction, an 85 percent chance it will be within 2 inches, and an 96 percent chance it will be within 3 inches.
my son is the shortest of them lot!!!

h20, i was 5' 7" and change when i was 15. in the next 2 years i grew over 2 inches. so now i'm close to 5' 10". it's NOT the end of the world ;) at least you're not in malaysia - after i achieved my full height i couldn't buy shoes, and even jeans had to be made for me otherwise alllll tooooo short!!! i couldn't find Bata school shoes so had to wear boys' shoes, then i decided to wear sneakers (white) and challenged the teachers to find a pair of women's Batas that i could wear and i would wear it! needless to say, when i say "takde size" i meant "takde size".
it will make her stronger to be taller than the boys. if a boy can't take the intimidation of a tall woman, he's not worth her time. you tell her to be proud and stand tall!!!
wow... that's tall... :)

(if u want my vs dun b shy to pm me :D just kidding)
i'm abt 5'6"
i don't know what it is with this generation of girls, adeline (chris c's elder girl) is even taller but that is hereditary from mom......

Hey Sila, Malaysian guys also tall what...
BTW, my sis is virtually 6'... she keeps saying she's 5' 11.75". But she's a six, i know. Her hubby is 6' 2"
I have a cousin sis 6' 1"... her mom is 5' 10". Both former national netball players.

well said sila. height isn't an issue for a guy who has self esteem...
h2o - actually hor, tell your daughter she's lucky to be tall. clothes look nicer on tall people. when i was a skinny young thing and able to buy clothes that (finally) fit me in the US, i think i was rather eye-catching (wah liaooo mana bakul? i have to get in and angkat sendiri liao :p)
not all guys are intimidated by tall women, and i commend the ones who are not. you know it took me a while too to be comfortable with myself - especially growing up in malaysia when the first thing ANYBODY ever said to me when they met me was "mak datukkkk how tall are you???" euj knows - i used to never wear heels, i never really enjoyed it, until i went to college and learned to accept and in fact, celebrate my height. in college, on days when i was depressed, i used to wear 4 inch heels to class, just so i could look at the top of people's heads (and i saw most of them, at 6' 2", even ang moh men!). somehow it made me feel better.. :o
and to dream's point - there are tall malaysians! look at his entire family - your dad is what, 6' 4" right? no wonder your sis is 6' tall. and dream is no shrimp himself.
so stand up, stand tall! these kids that are projected to be tall, i say all the better. we should shoot down the stereotype of the short asians anyway!! :D

vin and i joke about that sometimes - his "shrimpiest" brother is 6' 2", and he's the tallest at 6' 7". i guess one day we'll find out how tall our kid will be. :D
we should ask hisham to do this estimate for his son, irfan. have you seen irfan's pictures? i don't think he looks 3 and a half - i think he looks easily 5-6! :D
