im in the midst of selecting the home theater system.

budget is around RM1.5K or less...

so far, i have spotted 3 types (top choice - top to down range)..

1) Samsung
2) Philip
3) GC (from carrefour)

Anybody use the GC home theater before? Cost is around RM285... quite cheap but dont know is realiable and can tahan lasak or not.

Any opinion?

will be putting on living room...

probably 5 speaker will do. 2 speaker + 1 woofer will be putting at the TV set there... and 2 more speaker will be putting on top of ceiling... (meaning on the top corner ceiling... left & right)

with that budget .... get any of the normal japanese brands would do lor...

for philips brand... not much choice as i browse thru their website... all pics almost the same...

IMHO, philips looks nice but their sound is so so.

even before he had a branch in kl, Tong Lee had been one of the biggest destributors of AV equiepment in the country.

i wouldn't recommend sony for Audio products... naybe their walkman's and discman's but not home theater products.

i think teac would be the best choice among all
