Ok all... This thread is to carry over all the people who have been clogging my inbox on our now *cancelled* trip to Genting started by Chui Lin.

Hi guys & gals...
ow r u all doing? long time no see..

about the gathering tht was cancelled, i too couldnt make it at that point of time. some other time maybe :) unable to mass reply earlier coz had some problem replying thru yahoo, so just informed Adele.

makan-makan...SoldOut is a wonderful place, i've been there once in Jan '05 and lurved it. just that its a tad too expensive (ya la...me still a student, unlike most of u all). anyway...not like i can make it anyways. unless its during my 1wk break in late may from 21st if not mistaken. (most prob not going home coz too much to study - arrrgghh!)

wokay...now to the matter. people...this is great to keep in touch with a bunch of u thru this emailing after like ages beyond ages. BUT...and its a big BUT, when not much time & see so many "reply to all" e-mails, with some continuation of the last, while some others are replies to a mail from bygone dates...abit pening la!

i have a suggestion...(and malcolm, how come u never recruit ppl earlier! :@) :p
ok...just kidding. i suggest we chit-chat in a forum...we have our own acs sitiawqan (unofficial) forum.some are members already, batang hidung pun tak nampak...but its such a great pity u know!
coz we have a class of our own, and now even got class of 2000...and 99ers participation is so pathetic :(

Hui Chen, omigosh i'm so sorry! i got so impatient yest i went n saw ice age at midvalley cuz it's nearer my workplce in kl plus i had a date to go with :) Keke.. the movie's super funny i haven't laughed so openly for a long time now. Love the pathetically oh-so-cute desperate squirrel and his nut!

Chui Lin, I highly recommended ice age 2 to get that stress off u. Works 4me.

Hold on the food thing. We'll find a time. Some girls here have enough excuses *ahem" to postpone dates till our next general election. Bangsar Seafood is having an all you can eat set at 49.50 nett... only for this month, lunch and dinner. Crabs and prawns included so worth your money. So anyone interested, drop me a note. Bangkok Jazz might be too expensive so will think of another location for a small dinner.

Actually, Stan Chart Cards have 20% off for entry tickets into Sunway Lagoon. So that's my contribution. Should be free on the 1st.

ok people. i dah fed-up. you all really not responding well la... from Genting to Redang to KCM's makan to Hui Chen's Ice Age 2, semua tak layan. now i wanna ask you all, wanna go Sunway Lagoon on the 1st tak?? got BIG SPLASH PARTY from 5pm onwards. but of course, me suggest we go pagi-pagi la... like 10/11am. have lite lunch outside first (since dalam lagoon mahal) then go in and play. i can prepare food if you all nak bayar me labour and food cost. =) let me know!

As far as I know, there are actually 2 firefly sites in Kuala Selangor. I've only been to one which is the one after the Kuala Selangor river bridge (towards Sabak Bernam).

There is a boat which will basically take you on a short trip on the river to see the fireflies on the mangrove trees. Best time to visit is around 7.30-9.00pm where the firefiles are most active. Also it shouldn't have rained on the day as the rain also reduces the amount of active fireflies.

Basically what you'll end up seeing is the fireflies going on and off like a huge christmas tree. Of course your christmas tree is actually a mangrove tree and there is only one light which is yellow.

IMHO a place you should visit once in your lifetime at least. Not everyone will enjoy the show as it can be bland depending on your tastes. Don't expect too much :D Tickets cost RM10 and the boat trip in all is about 30-40 mins.

Itinery for a trip can be as follows:

1. Leave KL about 5pm. Drive down to Kuala Selangor
2. Have seafood dinner at Kuala Selangor. Pretty reasonable prices. I know this restaurant by the river we can go to.
3. Go to the firefly spot about 7.30-8pm.
4. Leave for KL or unless anyone knows any night spots to visit in Kuala Selangor.
5. Should be able to get back to KL reasonably early for some coffee and chit chat before heading home.

have seen it on tv once, 'd boat ride & all (the only 'boats' i've rode in are ferries & banana boat haha) - seemed COOL...and its affordable ma...even for student like me :)

As far as I know, there are actually 2 firefly sites in Kuala Selangor. I've only been to one which is the one after the Kuala Selangor river bridge (towards Sabak Bernam).

There is a boat which will basically take you on a short trip on the river to see the fireflies on the mangrove trees. Best time to visit is around 7.30-9.00pm where the firefiles are most active. Also it shouldn't have rained on the day as the rain also reduces the amount of active fireflies.

Basically what you'll end up seeing is the fireflies going on and off like a huge christmas tree. Of course your christmas tree is actually a mangrove tree and there is only one light which is yellow.

IMHO a place you should visit once in your lifetime at least. Not everyone will enjoy the show as it can be bland depending on your tastes. Don't expect too much :D Tickets cost RM10 and the boat trip in all is about 30-40 mins.

Itinery for a trip can be as follows:

1. Leave KL about 5pm. Drive down to Kuala Selangor
2. Have seafood dinner at Kuala Selangor. Pretty reasonable prices. I know this restaurant by the river we can go to.
3. Go to the firefly spot about 7.30-8pm.
4. Leave for KL or unless anyone knows any night spots to visit in Kuala Selangor.
5. Should be able to get back to KL reasonably early for some coffee and chit chat before heading home.

oky doky, we shall continue d suggestion to hold a pool party at my condo in setapak due to d following reasons:

- malcolm says d pool is so cool he wanna swim there (i agree! minus d buayas, d pool is wonderful)
- im a june baby, so i shud host d party (ermm... ok, but dun ask me to cook for so many ppl ahh)- our princess adele says 'aye' so evry1 must also say 'aye' (dun ask me why)
the reasons ahh...the onli 1 i find legitimate is the 2nd one! :p

and i have no problem with the set date (hope & pray no last min changes pops up in my schedule! *volcanoe princess with clasped hands...looking up*)

and bobo...sorry ah:o but when is the Date of ur Bday? anyway...can celebrate anytime. and i too feel the cozy environment of ur house would be better than a hall (too formal kindof thing la)...

and guys...can we have d kuala selangor trip that weekend too?

i had a ACS gathering at my place for Xmas 2004. about 20 ppl were thr n there's still space in d house, not to worry. we ordered lots of domino pizza, i made fruit punch & jelly, we had so much fun chatting half of us stayed from 7pm till 4am! i remember kian thye & solze was supposed to just drop by for makan then cabut to paint d town red ie clubbing, but they actually were d last to leave near dawn. i have pix but they're huge so id rather not post it here.

basically dun worry bout max ppl, worst come to worst we can dump some fellas on d balcony..hehe..
